Gasthaus "Zum Schad" — Restaurant in Halle (Saale)

The worst place I were in my last years. Waiters were very arrogount. They did not approve my four different kind of international cards which all worked in next place. I have a proof. So, for me they were blackmailing my cash and I have to pay in cash even, if I had enough funds on my four different cards which all worked in next place. So, they just wanted my cash!!! I had cash, but. It was already a situation of principality. To avoid a police, I paid cash and wenf to the next place where all cards worked. Still, i did not like their attitude that I am stupid, if four of my international cards are not working and they are the best servants. Therefore, the least estimation for attitude to me. Even, if I had enough founds by cards and by cash, I was showed like I were without money trying to eat. They even did not apologised!

Exactly my point. I got four internationally functional (Master and VISA) cards. They work properly in any other place in Halle and in any other place in the world, but somehow they did both work in your place. I made four purchases in the next bar to prove it (checks are still with me)! So cards work. I can understand misuseof one card, but four different cards. It means that error was in tour system and unability to handle it, only by demanding from me cash was not tolerated for me. I wanted to eat at a good old German brew house style place and Gasthaus Zum Schad did not disappoint!

The menu was all in german and i had a bit of a translation problem with the waiter so in the end he asked me what i wanted, he looked up a photo on his phone and put an order through.

Basically, I asked for a roast pork meal and that is what i got and it was perfect. The pork was tender, the dumplings and krautsalat were delicious, even the salad garnish was excellent. Best meal i've had in Germany. Highly recommend, i was only stopping overnight otherwise i would totally...

We would have love to have the chance to eat here. We called many times with no answer, so we decide to go directly.
