We came to celebrate my friend’s birthday. The interior design, the food, and the whole atmosphere are superb — just wow. We were a group of five; we ordered five starters (the wild tartare and lobster are a must-have!), wine, and grilled fish as our mains. The service, however, was absolutely unacceptable and should be seriously reviewed.

We were welcomed by the main waiter, who offered us Dom Pérignon as an aperitivo for €100 a bottle. After we politely declined and said we preferred wine, his attitude changed; he became rude and impatient.

When he came to take our orders, I felt genuinely stressed while asking him a couple of simple questions (such as what fish they had on the menu that day or what else he could recommend).

When he brought the fish, we still had flowers on the table (which he himself had placed there). He started telling us, quite aggressively, to clear the table so he could cut the fish. Sorry, but is it my responsibility to manage the table and prepare it for serving?

After I pointed this out to him, he became slightly nicer, realizing he had crossed the line. The rest of the team was exceptionally nice and polite, but this one waiter spoiled the whole evening.

At the end of the day, it was a birthday, and nothing was offered to us. Not that we demanded Dom Pérignon, but a small gesture would have been appreciated.

I would really love to come again, but I would request to be served by someone else if I see him — this level of unprofessionalism is absolutely unacceptable for a...

Yesterday we were lucky enough to get a table at this absolutely fantastic location! We were greeted by the friendly staff - in true Scandinavian style all staff have the same chef attire. The waiters and chefs were very attentive and without rushing us. We had a great table outside with a view of the Elbphilharmonie. Both Brian and Martin frequently stopped by our table to talk about their food philosophy, their exciting catering trips of the past couple of years and have a drink with us. We really, really appreciated them taking the time to chat (especially considering it was a Saturday night), it made us feel like we were having dinner at a - very talented - friends house. I saved the best for last: the food! As an appetizer we shared the sardines and while the fish was as yummy as we expected, the peas were my favorite part - I had no idea that peas could taste this good. For the main course I had the cod head in teriyaki sauce - sounds funny but it's a delicacy. Absolutely delicious, simple ingredients and fun to eat (I ended up eating it with my hands :D). My boyfriend had the Surf 'n' Turf burger - it was served with half a lobster, still in the shell, on top of the burger. What a showstopper meal - not just visually it was really tasty as well. I would describe the food as authentic, delicious and as something we will definitely be eating more of in the future :) Thank you for the...

It was a stormy evening in Hamburg, but set a lovely environment for an evening meal aboard a floating restaurant, the inside of the restaurant is a great balance between authentic rustic vessel setting and the comfort of eating a meal. The slight movement the vessel also added to this thoroughly enjoyable experience. The service was excellent, attentive but not in your face disturbing the flow of the evening. The menu has only a few choices on it, but that is by no means a bad thing, what it means is that the food you get is great because they focus on what they are good at and it was delicious in taste, quality of ingredients and the expertise of cooking. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
