The first time we went here it was such a memorable experience. The food was amazing and very tasty but this time the story changed. We went in and we waited 10 until a waiter attended us then we went to get some food there, we sat down and noticed that the food wasn’t so fresh at all it tasted like very old and conserved in the fridge for some days after that we got our main dish the “hot pot” so we went to get some food to put it in our hot pots and same story here the food was very old and not fresh at all then we asked for some chopsticks there because there wasn’t chopsticks on our table, I asked the waiter and she like literally screamed at my face and said: There are chopstick on your table!! I said like ok but we don’t have more chopsticks now then she went to another table to get the chopsticks from that table and just throwed those on our table. For dessert I got some “water pudding” where u need to put some sweet in it like sugar, honey etc. so there wasn’t sugar or anything there so I asked and again I got screamed by the waiter and she said like there is sugar on the flavors table so I went there to get the sugar after that I sat down and noticed the “sugar” that I took wasn’t sugar at all it was salt so I went back and saw that the sugar and salt sign was switched up so I said that to the waiter and she said like I was my fault that I took salt instead of sugar I mean yeah sure it was my fault that the signs was switched up sorry I guess… everything was so unenjoyable so I think it’s the last time we gonna go there. 2 Stars because there was like 2 waiters that...

📝 Experience: Spicy Hot Pot remains one of the best places to eat in Hamburg if you’re looking for an exciting and interactive dining experience. For 30 EUR, you get all-you-can-eat hot pot with a wide variety of ingredients and spices.
There’s an impressive selection of meats, vegetables, seafood, and even stir-fried dishes, plus a small ice cream corner for dessert. The ingredients are fresh and of good quality, making it a great deal for the price. The restaurant is also not overly crowded, and you can stay until late, but a reservation is highly recommended to secure a spot.
🚶 Getting There: Located in Hamburg, Spicy Hot Pot is easily accessible by public transport. The nearest station is U1 Wartenau.
💡 Tips for a Better Visit:
Broth choice: The broth itself doesn’t matter much, as the dipping sauce defines the flavor. Go for the lightest broth and focus on experimenting with sauces! Sauce Recommendation: Creating your own sauce is part of the fun! My go-to mix: garlic, shoyu, sake, sesame oil, and a little chili sauce. 🌶️🧄🍶 Reservation is a must! 📅 The place gets busy, so book in advance to avoid waiting.

Read moreIf you have experienced hot pot before, this might be a disappointment. The condiments and meats/fish are available buffet-style. So if you don’t mind buffet you will be okay. We don’t like buffets, and this experience confirmed our view. The whole area was messy and unappetizing. We lived in various places in Asia, and have visited China more than fifty times. We have eaten hot pot in various places in China, and never saw it served like this. Neither have we experienced such poor food quality. The waitress was very friendly, but she was the exception. The male waiters were unfriendly and uninterested. The meat quality was poor, especially the beef. The dumplings tasted strangely. We liked the induction cook top tables, but that didn’t make up for the poor food quality. Once you have added drinks (we had only water, soft drinks, and one beer) and some appetizers the cost is easily €40 or more per person. The interior is very spartan (which is an overstatement) and don’t look too closely in the fridges and freezers - they are not clean, and neiter are the areas where food is prepared, which you can see from the dining part of the restaurant. Oh, and don’t use the restrooms - they are absolutely disgusting. For €40 per person there are many far better options for Asian...
