Second visit in two months , this time the 23rd of December for dinner.

Lovely Christmas decorations interior.

Bread accompaniment of duck fat with onions- was ok. Amazing goose on offer-meat is fatless, with an amazing sauce of plum with gravy. Comes with dumpling in panko, red cabbage with cranberry sauce.

Service was ok this time. Good arrived in a reasonable time.

Lovely modern interior and part of a hotel. Warm welcome.

Nice bread with tapenade but heavy on the garlic.

Reasonable mark ups on wine.

Wiener schnitzel was good with cucumber and potato salad wit was excellent as the potatoes was grilled and then put into the salad. There was redcurrant compote for the dish .

Service was hit and miss and a member of the party asked for the wifi password and the waiter was walked off and started taking orders from a different table which was a rather rude thing to do. Another waitress eventually brought the password which was stuck on a placard holder.

All in all the food was good but let down but...

We stayed in the suite on the top floor and absolutely loved it. The room was excellent—very tastefully decorated, with colors and materials that clearly show professional design. The bed was great, the shower excellent, and everything felt fresh and well thought through.

A small note: the elevator only goes up to the second floor, so you’ll need to take the stairs for the last part. Also, with the windows open you can hear the subway until about 11 pm, but it’s quiet afterward. In summer, the top floor might get a bit warm.

The restaurant downstairs, Casa di Bianca, is definitely worth visiting. The Italian menu offers pizza and pasta but also fish and meat dishes—my vitello tonnato was excellent.

Breakfast is very well taken care of, with plenty of tasty options and good coffee. The staff throughout the hotel and restaurant are genuinely friendly and welcoming.

Overall, a stylish, comfortable, and well-run boutique hotel with a strong personal touch. Highly...

UPDATE: Zweiter Besuch…

Die unten angesprochenen Dinge wurde tatsächlich ziemlich gut aufgenommen und verbessert. Geraucht wird nun beim Fahrradschuppen, das Licht ist besser angepasst und die Bedienung gibt sich mehr Mühe.

Schnitzel war gut, anbei ein paar Bilder. Die Sterne habe ich angepasst!

URSPRÜNGLICHE REZENSION:

(NOCH) WILDER WESTEN…

Achtung, dieser Kommentar ist WORK IN PROGRESS und wird sich vielleicht mit der Entwicklung des Restaurants & der Anzahl an Besuchen ändern. Wir verstehen, dass am Anfang alles nicht so einfach ist und es ggfs. aktuell schwer ist an qualifiziertes Personal zu kommen.

Lets start…

Wir besuchten das Restaurant im Januar 2023 (ein paar Wochen nach Eröffnung) zu einer wenig frequentierten Zeit: 16-17 Uhr.

Das Empfangspersonal war höflich und wir hatten freie Sitzauswahl. Die Auswahl an Speisen war auch gut und wir haben uns für das Schnitzel entschieden (da hat man einen objektiven Vergleich, da wir uns durch die Schnitzellandschaft in WB “gefressen” haben: Wellignton, Del, Alte Mühle, etc.)

Das Essen kam sehr schnell, da wir fast die einzigen Gäste waren. Alles gut, nicht berauschend gut, sondern guter Durchschnitt. Bis hier alles okay, bis die folgenden Dinge aufgefallen sind:

Motivation: Die Bestellung wurde mit mäßiger Motivation aufgenommen. Kein Lächeln, sondern sehr nüchtern. Man kennt das von anderen Restaurants etwas freundlicher aber hey… Atmosphäre im “Vorzimmer”: Wir saßen vorne, so dass man auf die Straße schauen konnte. Dort haben wir gemerkt, dass das Licht im Empfangszimmer extrem grell war, was die Atmosphäre ziemlich durchbrochen hat. Dort wurde Ware angeliefert und viele Menschen sind ein und ausgegangen PLUS der Zigarttenrauch (da kommt noch was dazu) ist beim Öffnen der Tür komplett ins Zimmer gezogen. Igitt! Handy / Whatsapp schreiben VOR Gästen: Dann ist was komisches passiert, was wir noch nie bei anderen Restaurants gesehen haben! Ein Kellner stand mitten im grell beleuchteten Raum und hat sein Handy rausgezogen. Wir dachten er macht ein Foto oder wollte abkassieren, aber er hat einfach munter Whatsapp Nachrichten gesendet. Ich mein, das kann man machen, aber dann bitte hinter der Bar oder im Pausenraum, oder? Zigaretten: Da habe ich ja gar nichts gegen, aber wenn das Personal unmittelbar VOR der Eingangstür steht und dort schön seine Zigarette raucht, finde ich, dass das KEIN gutes Licht auf so eine hochwertig positionierte Marke wirft. Dort kommen Gäste an und wollen bitte nicht von Zigarettenrauch der Kellner begrüßt werden..

Na ja, insgesamt hatten wir einen schnellen Abend (70€ insgesamt). Die Qualität ist gut, aber nach dem ersten Besuch wüsste ich “noch” nicht, wieso ich hier noch mal hingehen würde.

Aber das kann sich ja alles...
