I've been coming to this café every Sunday for months. I always order my cappuccino and brownie, sit quietly with my laptop and my sports water bottle. Today, the owner came over and, in front of everyone, told me that having my water bottle wasn’t allowed and that there’s a “no working on Sundays” policy — and if it got busy, I’d have to move.
Not only was I not even working, but I found the way he addressed me rude and unnecessary. He didn’t ask me anything or try to have a respectful conversation before jumping into conclusion — just immediately jumped to lecturing me as if I were doing something wrong. That kind of public treatment is uncalled for, especially toward a loyal, paying customer who’s never been told anything about these supposed rules before.
