The Food menu, A fun mix of regional German dishes—way more interesting than typical tourist spots. Geschmorter Thymian-Rinderbraten (Braised Beef Roast): Tender, flavorful, and packed with thyme, served with a rich red wine gravy and perfect Spätzle. Flammkuchen (Goat Cheese + Honey + Berry Confit):** Thin, crispy, and topped with sweet-tangy goodness—like a German-Alsatian flatbread dream. The Service: Next-Level Attentiveness Halfway through eating the Flammkuchen, our waitress suddenly showed up with a brand-new one. Turns out, the kitchen noticed the dough was slightly overdone—before we even realized it ourselves—and replaced it without us asking. Now that’s how you do hospitality.

I waited before writing this review, to make sure three previous bad experiences were not just coincidences. Now I can say that after various disagreeable experiences, that this Hatari restaurant is for me the worst service I've been to Hamburg since I moved here ten years ago. Every order lasted around 20 min to be served, and when we reclaimed, we waited even longer. Meanwhile, they overcharged our bill with additional drinks we didn't have. Epic! Incredible! Felipe was a star looking after my father and I when we visited tonight. He got us a table quickly and helped me with my indecision between the burger and the Schnitzel. We both had the Schnitzel and it was a winner! Huge portion, freshly made and crispy and served with a superb gravy, salad, fries and ketchup/mayo.
