Kaffeekontor — Restaurant in Hamburg

I used to love this place because of it's nice selection of drinks and delicious cakes. I went today to this place with a friend, we were having a great time chatting about life and work when suddenly I spotted a mouse in the table next to us. To be clear,THERE WAS A MOUSE WANDERING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RESTAURANT IN PLAIN SIGHT!!!!!! We called the waitress and she saw the mouse as well ,but she said she didn´t know what to do in this case, when we saw the mouse in front of us she even said "it looked cute" (really? is it "cute" to have a plague in your restaurant right there where your customers can see it?) . We stood up and paid ( we didn't even get any discount or anything for the experience) and left the place quite grossed. It's quite a pity because I really liked the cakes there, but you can't have mice hanging out in your restaurants with your customers and expect people to ever...

Der Schokoladen-Brownie mit Karamell war wirklich köstlich, und auch der Schoko-Kaffee hat sehr gut geschmeckt – beides absolut empfehlenswert. Weniger angenehm fand ich allerdings die aufdringliche Art, wie hier mit dem Thema Trinkgeld umgegangen wird. Am Bestellterminal werden einem gleich drei große Buttons mit 10, 15 oder 20 % Trinkgeld präsentiert – ein eher kleines Feld für „kein Trinkgeld“ ist nur ganz unten zu finden. Immerhin wurde ich bei der Auswahl nicht beobachtet, was ich positiv anmerken möchte.

Was mich jedoch wirklich gestört hat, war die wiederholte Belästigung durch bettelnde Personen. Obwohl wir uns ganz hinten im Café niedergelassen hatten, kam bereits kurz nach unserer Ankunft eine Frau vorbei, die nach Geld fragte – auffällig dabei: Sie trug neue, saubere Schuhe, was die Situation etwas irritierend machte. Und kaum hatte ich begonnen, diese Rezension zu schreiben, kam ein junger Mann mit derselben Absicht.

Ich war noch keine Viertelstunde dort, und es fühlte sich fast an wie eine Bahnfahrt zur Stoßzeit – nur eben mitten im Café. Sehr schade, denn das kulinarische Angebot hat...
