An interesting club with good music and a pleasant atmosphere, the prices are a bit more expensive, but it's ok because there is no entrance fee.

But there is a small problem they will often be at the entrance and won't let you in with various stories that the club is full or that there are only more women inside they only let mixed couples. Twice they let me in, three times I was rejected, sometimes a blonde stands at the entrance and signals with her eyes who to let in and who not when they told me that the club was full, five Germans entered after me, then there were about 20 others who entered behind, of course they all speak German Me and my friend don't speak German, so if you don't speak german be prepared to be rejected and not let inside.

The second time when I was rejected I was with a friend who has a dark complexion and they said that they only let couples in because there are a lot of men inside, while we were waiting for the line in front of us, they let in about 20 to 30 mixed people, and they let in only men right in front of us, a few of them, so I'm not sure that the reason is that there are only men inside.

The third time when I was refused, I didn't even want to listen to the explanation of why they wouldn't let me in because they let a bunch of people in behind us again and in front of us, so it's a small place that is...

Etwas geheimnisvoll und besonders Dunkel öffnet das Pallas am Freitag und Samstag seine Tore und wird kurzzeitig zum Mekka der Schanzen-Jünger. Die Bässe pulsieren, der neue Pferdemarkt bebt und alle wollen nur eins: Ins Pallas! Die Stimmung ist ausgelassen und die Drinks sind on point, das Personal ist locker und fix, keine Kehle bleibt trocken und nach Hause geht es erst, wenn es draußen wieder hell ist - so oder so ähnlich stellt sich das Personal wahrscheinlich die Aussenwirkung des Pallas vor. Die Realität sieht aber leider anders aus: Die im hippen Bauhaus-Stil gehaltene Getränkekarte ließt sich zwar etwas anstrengend - wenn man sich dann einen der Drinks ausgesucht hat, kann man jedoch locker mit einer halben Stunde Wartezeit rechnen, denn das Barpersonal ist lahm. Ab einer gewissen Uhrzeit steht jeder am Tresen und möchte einen Drink haben. Bedient wird ohne jegliches System, die angebotenen Drinks sind zwar gut, aber nicht massentauglich - es dauert schlicht zu lange, sie herzustellen. Die Musik variiert, dennoch kommt nie so wirkliche Stimmung auf, da hauptsächlich Vintage House und Drum&Bass gespielt wird. Das Interior ist modern und schick, hier und da entdeckt man witzige Details, die man im Dunkeln aber eh nicht richtig sieht. Was am Pallas aber überhaupt nicht geht, und wer schon weitere Rezensionen gelesen hat wird es wissen, ist das Personal „an der Tür“. Besonders ein junger Mann mit Bart und unsympathischem Gesichtsausdruck scheint eine Kundenallergie und gleichzeitig auch eine Fehlvorstellung von seinem Beruf zu haben, denn er verhält sich, als wäre er Sven Marquardt und würde Gäste für‘s Berghain aussuchen. Eine Zigarette zwischendurch kann einem schon mal zum Verhängnis werden, denn Rauchen darf man nur draußen. Ob man dann wieder reinkommt ist eine 50:50 Chance - egal, ob man einen Stempel hat oder nicht. Manchmal wird man mit einem kühlen „heute nicht, sorry!“ abgewiesen und dabei nicht mal richtig angeschaut. Ich bin am Anfang sehr gerne und sehr (!) oft im Pallas gewesen, habe dort viele Drinks genommen und vor allem viel Umsatz gemacht. Aber das Personal ist schlichtweg nicht geeignet für diesen Laden. Gerade in der Umgebung der liberalen Schanze ist es fast schon ein Affront, Gäste mutmaßlich nach persönlichem Eindruck zu „sortieren“. Und eine Location, die ein cooles und lockeres Image vertritt, sollte zumindest einen Gedanken daran verschwenden mit Gästen auf Augenhöhe umzugehen und am Eingang nicht die letzte Dorfklitsche mit Alibi-Türsteher...

I actually really like this place. Coctails are tasty, music is great and the atmosphere is also wonderful. The reason why I gave 4 starts for service (i was actually thinking of giving 3) was because of a bartender at the second bar, back of the place. We waited over 20 mins, but he served only women even though they got there after us. This happened a couple of months ago, too! This time, we gave him a good amount of tip to avoid such, but he was too occupied with hitting on the guests.
