Tiefenthal — Restaurant in Hamburg

Tiefenthal is a very nice local restaurant, and it has a very good seating capacity, especially in warm weather when it has a large outdoor area. The interior is lovely and it’s like sitting in a restaurant in the 1960’s with beautiful wood furniture and wall paneling. There is a fantastic bar in the entrance floor level of the restaurant. The staff is wonderful - attentive and very friendly and you get a warm welcome the minute you walk in the door. The menu isn’t huge but has a sufficient amount of dishes to choose from. This restaurant is amazing! I love the atmosphere and their menu is simple but in a good way, as everything they serve is exceptional and delicious, I have been coming here for years, now and then, and I have never been disappointed in the quality of what I ate. Yesterday night I went there with my girlfriend and both the waiters who served us, have been very nice and friendly, and super quick in responding to our requests (same goes for the food wait), even though the place was full. I went there on a Tuesday night to have dinner without a reservation. The restaurant is located in a quiet street in the poshest corner of Eppendorf - but the people are a quite normal mix. The Mid-September night was still warm enough to sit on the nice terrace. The service was welcoming and attentive all the time although I arrived just before their closing time.
