The view is nice and its clean up there, and the cafe is stylish, but the cafe staff are unfriendly and then on top of already being a bit unhappy with the cafe, again something happened today. Today we sat on the plastic sofas that are right in front of the cafe and we were told that because all the tables were full, that they were not serving on these seats. The sofa seats are directly in front of the cafe. The energy bunker is only open when the cafe is open, so its not like those seats are for when the cafe is closed but the bunker is open. It doesn't make sense. Why are the seats there at the cafe, but you cannot be served on them. These arbitrary rules are really annoying. We then went to Vollmundig cheesecake and coffee place just 100m away, and got coffee and cheesecake and brought it up to the bunker. If they were understaffed, then just say. But if you plan every weekend to not have enough staff to not be able to serve all the seats at your cafe, then you are doing something wrong. And i will mention the lack of friendliness of the staff again. This needs a lot of work. Also the opening times - the bunker probably is so clean because of the short opening times, but it would be nice to be able to see the sunset from up there - it closes at 18:00, cafe and bunker. The cafe can close at 18:00 but please at least let people up there to see the sunset. And on Monday-Thursday too. Also a few weekends ago, the bunker was closed for a private party. The bunker is owned by the city via the Sprinkenhof GmbH, which belongs to the city as far as I know. I guess its within their right to close the bunker for private events. Its just uncool. At least leave 3/4 of the viewing platform open to the public, but use the Cafe Vju for a private event. This whole bunker and cafe aren't on the same vibe as Wilhelmsburg, which is open and friendly and welcoming....
Read moreDespite booking a table in advance and getting a confirmation - when we go there with our guests, they said they didn't receive our booking. Then they said, they will prepare the tables for us inside, after ten minutes of not seeing anything happening in terms of preparing a table, we asked them how long it would take and then they said, when a table gets free outside we can be seated. They just changed their mind on their own and did not even inform us until we asked.
Terrible experience!!...
