Lovaena Café — Restaurant in Hamburg

The portion looks generous due to the variety of ingredients on the plate, but in reality, there’s very little food. For the price, you’d expect a full meal — not just a light snack. The taste is okay, but nothing special. On the plus side, the buns were warm, though I suspect they’re not homemade but rather frozen and baked on-site.

We sat outside — it was fairly nice, but the sun was glaring, and there weren’t enough umbrellas. The interior of the café is quite nicely decorated. We came as a group: three adults and a one-year-old child. After placing our order, we waited for 30 minutes and were about to leave because it was taking too long. Out of curiosity, we stayed to see how long it would actually take. In the end, we waited over an hour. That’s completely unacceptable. The waiter explained that they had a large order before us, but this kind of delay should be communicated in advance. Especially since we had a small child with us — something the staff clearly didn’t take into account. The coffee was decent, but unfortunately, that’s not enough to outweigh the negatives. I do not recommend...

A lovely place — everything is so pink and cute! We ordered the Oriental breakfast for two — it was more than enough. We asked for some extra buns, and they said, “no problem.” The coffee was delicious.

The café is run by Middle Eastern men — very polite and attentive. However, it was quite cold inside in autumn; we didn’t even take off our jackets.

But I have to say, the visual setup is really beautiful — very Instagrammable. The breakfast itself was also a pleasant surprise — not the typical German breakfast where they just throw some cheese and sausage on a plate. I really enjoyed it.

There were some Middle Eastern women and two men sitting nearby — no Germans around. But we were just there to have a quiet breakfast together, and that worked perfectly.

Funny contrast though — the sweet pink décor and the bearded staff!

Oh, and one more nice touch: the music was lovely.

The window seats are super cozy! It would be great if they refreshed the pillows or used brighter fabric so the stains wouldn’t show.

Ich war heute zum Frühstück bei Lovaena mit einem Freund. Nachdem wir auf Instagram die Werbung und TikTok einiges an Leckeren Videos gesehen haben, wollten wir uns selber ein Bild von Lovaena machen. Wir wurden vom Service-Team herzlich begrüßt. Das Menü sieht übersichtlich aus und man findet schnell etwas, was sicherlich jeden seinem Gaumen anspricht. Heute haben wir uns für ein Frühstücksteller entschieden mit extra Menemen. Besonders froh waren wir, dass das Service-Team auf unsere extra Wünsche reagiert hat. So haben wir ein Frühstücksteller nach eigenem Wunsch kreieren können. Dazu gab es 2x türkischen schwarz Tee. Es war sehr sehr lecker. Alles war frisch zubereitet wurden. Die Gurken, Tomaten und Rucola sahen frisch aus. Das Rührei mit Sucuk, war nicht zu roh und auch nicht zu fest. Es gab eine üppige Portion vom Menemen, perfekt für 2 Personen. Auch auf den Wunsch, nochmals extra Brot zu bekommen, wurde ohne einen Aufpreis zu berechnen, nach gekommen. Leider konnten wir nicht von den Angebotenen Süßspeisen profitieren, da das Frühstück uns bereits äußerst gesättigt hat. Das wird sich hoffentlich auch bald ändern, weil wir definitiv wieder kommen werden.

Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis empfanden wird als gerechtfertigt. Da das Gesamt Paket von Frische und Qualität der Zutaten, sowie Größe der Portionen diesen Preis von ca. 27 Euro nicht...
