MamaLu Chinesisch und Koreanisches Street Food — Restaurant in Hanover

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mama Lu in the Markthalle Hannover, and it was a fantastic experience. I ordered the Jian Bing and the Taiwanese beef noodles, and both dishes left a great impression.

The Jian Bing was freshly made, with a crispy exterior and a generous, flavorful filling. The combination of savory sauce, crispy dough, and fresh herbs made it a perfect street food-style snack. It was well-balanced, with just the right amount of spice and crunch.

The highlight for me was the Taiwanese beef noodles. The portion was very generous — easily enough for a hearty meal — and the broth was rich, aromatic, and full of deep, authentic flavors. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the noodles had a great texture that soaked up the broth beautifully. It tasted just like the bowls I’ve had in Taiwan, which is rare to find in Europe.

The staff were friendly and the service was quick, even during a busy lunchtime. The open kitchen setup also gave a nice, lively atmosphere to the place.

Really great food! The first bite of the Wonton brought me right back to China. Real authentic cuisine. The second course was the Jianbing. This overcame all expectations. Tender chicken & fresh veggies packed in a delicious wrap.
