In short, do not seat in the bar area.
I have been in Dublin inn several times, always in table and there was no problem at all. But the first time I seat in the bar we ended up arguing with the waiters.
Advice for the team in the bar: Divide the bar area between the team, we were served by 2 different employees and a 3rd on was arguing with us that we didn't pay. Talk to each other, because due to the lack of communication, the problem started. At each payment give bill to the clients so they can probe that they paid.
Long story: We ordered a jar of beer and nachos. The waiter brought us the jar, but seems he didn't hear about the nachos, so we paid the jar only. We waited a couple of minutes to see if the nachos were coming, but it was not the case. So we ordered again the nachos (to a second employee) which were brought, we didn't pay in that exact moment. After we finish the jar, we ordered a second one. We got our second jar and paid with a banknote of 50€ and got around 15€ back... We ask hey! why are we paying so much, to which waiter said "you pay 2 jars and nachos". We indicated that we already paid the first jar. The waiters spoke and he gave us back another 15€. When we want to leave, the first waiter screams hey you have to pay, you haven't paid. We tell him we already paid to his colleague. To which he says, yes but he gave you back your money. We mentioned him that we got back only 15€. So he says wait till my colleague (second employee) comes and we speak. He comes, they talk and they say, "all ok!". In this moment a third waiter starts to argue with us, my friend got upset and said bad words (sorry for that) so everything scalated and we were scream that we have to leave. Again sorry for the bad words of my friend, but, we paid, you didn't communicate to each other, you didn't give bills or even ask if we need it, so it is your responsibility to track who paid and who didn't and worse we were treated like we are stealing you. Really bad experience. Recommendation, don't seat in the bar, go to a table, there the service is way better...
Read moreMyself and my friends were in a large group and we booked a spot for the karaoke night. From the minute we came in the door, none of the staff had any idea what was going on, and were very rude. The doorman told us to just go to the back and didn't direct us toward any table. We spent about 20 minutes going over and back between different waitresses and the doorman before anyone knew where to seat us, bear in mind we made this booking plenty in advance. We then spent another hour trying to order food and drinks, constantly being ignored. I understand that Friday nights are hectic and the staff are so busy, but I really get the feeling this place is badly managed because no one seems to know what's going on. Finally the two guys running the karaoke were extremely rude, and only seemed to want their regulars to participate. Maybe make the karaoke private if outsiders aren't welcome! All in all, we were a large international group and were excited for the night, and it was made quite sour by our experience of the staff. Hopefully this place will come under better management, I...
Read moreOne of many Irish pubs in the city of Hannover, this traditional pub stands out above the rest, which I frequently visit. In the sense that if you want some quick pub food with a Guiness on the side, one cannot go wrong with this pub. Also great for English speaking tourists, as the waiters are bi-lingual in both German and English, making for ease of communicating orders from locals, non German speaking locals and tourists alike. For non-beer drinkers, there is also a great selection of wines, whiskeys, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages, so they have you covered, no matter your requirement. Regular pub quizzes and karaoke nights are held, as well as occasional sporting events, so you'll have a blast of a time at this wonderful...
