Cenneto Weinbar — Restaurant in Heidelberg

The owner is such a nice person, very accommodating and welcoming. He has a nice selection of drinks at a fair price and some snacks to accompany the drinks. He gave us a very generous portion of snacks! The atmosphere was great, the place looks very well designed and just the right music volume and lighting to set a relaxed mood. On top of all this, I was mostly impressed by the hygiene of the owner. He wore gloves when preparing the cheese platter. When he came back from being outside he washed his hands. He sliced an orange without gloves, but that was no problem; he didn't touch the slice of orange, he lifted it with his knife into the drink. Come on, how many people are this clean at restaurants? One recommendation to the owner: also serve desserts. Not many places like this are open at night and I think it would be a nice addition...

We had a lovely evening at Cenneto in Bahnstadt, my husband and I. We don't know anything about German wines (we're more knowledgeable in French wines) and got great recommendations from our waiter. He took the time to explain every wine we were curious about, and to recommend some depending on our tastes. The Flammkuchen were also delicious (we ordered the Alsacian and vegetarian ones). Nun, man muss sie einfach lieben diese Weinbar: Du kommst rein und fühlst dich vom ersten Moment an wohl. So war und ist es stets bei mir und meiner Freundin. Wir verbringen hier gerne Zeit. Das Angebot ist handverlesen, wer mag bekommt eine fachkundige Beratung und wer daheim was für Gäste oder sich da haben will, kann auch die ein oder andere Flasche dort kaufen. Ansonsten sind Cocktails auch am Start, Gin Whiskey, Kaffee, aber auch hausgemachte Limo und Essen. Es bleiben für mich keine Wünsche offen, was nicht zuletzt auch am sympathischen Personal liegen mag. Alles natürlich subjektiv, aber von mir gibt es eine klare Empfehlung für Genießer.
