First of all: 5 stars to the reception staff, they are great. About the rest: I'm staying at the hotel for the 2nd time, I had a good and a bad experience. The first time was great. I booked a room for a week but I was upgraded to an apartment for free, great! The apartment was clean and confy and the hotel even has an ATM. Second time: I booked an apartment but when I arrived the trash bin was full, the fridge was a bit dirty and the safe locker was locked, so we could not use it. The staff was helpful and changed us to another room but the new room did not have enough towels, the kitchen tap is loose, the dish washer drain has rest of food (it is disgusting), some dishes and cups are dirty (so right now I'm washing all of them again cause who knows what is clean and what isn't...) and one of the bedroom lights is flickering. And today is just our first day here... I don't want to bother the staff with all of this, I just asked for more towels and the rest we will manage ourselves 🤷♀️..I really liked the first time that I stayed here and that is why I came back. But I dont think I will stay here next time I come to Heidelberg. It will really depend if the rest of our stay goes pleasant (and how I will feel when I look again at that rest of the food in the bottom of the dish washer drain...aff :P)
Apart from this, the location of the hotel is convenient, they have a nice lounge/bar in front of the reception, the matress is confortable and the curtains are good(they really block the day light).
Bad points: the first time I stayed here there were 2 nigths that I could hear people speaking in the apartment by my side. I guess the noise came from the heating/cooling system that connect rooms. The pillows are bad. If you are alone in the room, you can use them all (four) and it is Ok. Now that I am with my husband I noticed that 2 pillows are really not enough...I did not noticed that the pillows were so bad 1st time I came. Maybe it is another unlucky thing of this time.
I am giving 3 stars as an average of my good and my bad...

The stay experience was poor. We arrived to drop off our luggage around 2 PM, Sep 30, and when we returned to check in at the hotel close to 11 PM, we were informed that due to a system issue, our room had been oversold. The gentleman at the reception told us he would arrange for us to stay at a nearby hotel and asked for five minutes to do so. They offered us a complimentary drink. However, after almost 20 minutes, he came back to inform us that all nearby hotels were fully booked. We were told we had to take a taxi to a hotel in Leimen, 6 kilometers away, which was quite remote. They said they would cover the taxi fare to the hotel, but we had to pay for the taxi to return to Heidelberg the next morning. I found this unreasonable, but they emphasized that the alternative hotel was more expensive than what we paid, so we were benefiting. I didn't feel we were benefiting anything, since you booked at the day, of course the rent will go up. This comparison is unreasonable. It was late at night, and we just needed to rest, better hotel facilities or breakfast is useless for us(btw the hotel is not even better in my opinion). After our insistence, they agreed to cover the taxi fare for the next morning and offered breakfast. However, the whole process was very time-consuming, and by the time we could finally rest, it was over an hour later, midnight already. I can understand the reason for the inconvenience being a system error leading to no available room. But the handling of the situation was poor. If they knew there were insufficient rooms, couldn't they have arranged an alternative hotel in advance? Guests, burdened with heavy luggage at night, had to wait for over an hour before getting a chance to rest. I just needed a room to rest in and easy access to the station....
Read moreWe recently stayed at this hotel as a family of five, spread across two 1-bedroom apartments, and overall, it was a great experience. The apartments offered ample space, and the layout was perfect for us. The sofabed was surprisingly comfortable (although we had to make it ourselves), and we did need to ask for extra sheets, which the staff promptly provided.||The kitchen was well-equipped with the basics for preparing simple meals, though it would have been even better if dishwashing liquid was provided for convenience. Onsite, the open-air parking was a big plus, at EUR 15 per night, with unlimited entry during our stay. The parking area was safe, with plenty of spaces available.||While the hotel is a bit out of the city center, the bus stop right outside made it easy to connect to the old town, so the location was quite convenient. The establishment has a mix of regular hotel rooms and apart-hotel units, and the apartments are located on a quieter side, away from the hustle and bustle of the main street.||One standout feature was the excellent communication with the management. They were very responsive to our requests, and we truly appreciated them ensuring that we were near each other despite the rooms not being adjoining.||An added bonus was the bar next to the reception, which had a lovely atmosphere—an ideal spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing in the city. We enjoyed relaxing there in the evenings with a drink.||All in all, this hotel is highly recommended for families. The spacious apartments, good amenities, great atmosphere, and attentive management made for a pleasant stay. Would definitely consider...
