HANS IM GLÜCK - HEIDELBERG Heiliggeistkirche — Restaurant in Heidelberg

It was a pity...my mother and I went to this burguer house today (18th August) about 1pm and in the moment we were paying, the waiter said that one of the bills (a 20 euro bill) was fake and he didn't accept the bill saying it was too different from the ones he is used to (he didn't even try to test it). It was a surprise for us since it was the first time during our travel that it happened and we have been in Germany for 15 days already. Anyway... we got worried and came back ashamed and quickly to our hotel and asked to the reception what to do showing the bill. The recepcionist tried the bill with a pen very simple to use and said that the bill was not fake that we should not worry. We breath deeply...happy that it was just a misunderstood but I let you a suggestion: the next time you must try to employ a waiter that don't judge a bill by its appearence because obviously he doesn't know anything about nothing. His job should be serve customers in the best way he can instead of worry his clients because of a bill. Maybe he could try to know better the euro bills if he works in commerce and want to judge people cash (maybe he comes from a country which does not use euro). Maybe he should use a pen like the one the recepcionist of my hotel used, I heard it is very cheap and not very difficult to use. Horrible experience. My mother felt ashamed and she got very sad. It was not what I expected her to feel during our trip!!...

Nie wieder! Schlechter service

Yesterday I visited Hans im Glück in the evening . I ordered four burgers for the takeout. After paying the price for the burgers,

I found out that the money was a bit more than I expected. I went back to the restaurant and asked for the receipt. All burgers were ordered with extra pepper( which costed 3.60 Euro) without asking me. They never said sorry and never asked me about the food condition. I was in a hurry so took all the burgers to hotel but my 3-year-old daughter could not eat the burger because the pepper was too strong for her.

In my hotel, I found out that the waitress gave me 2.5 Euro instead of 4 Euro. She should have given me 4 Euro back but she gave me 1 Euro and 3 x 50 cent. She DECEIVED me by giving me wrong coins with same size.

I have been always satisfied with Hans im Glück in Münster therefore what I have experienced yesterday was so disappointing.

I will report this happening to headquarter of Hans im Glück to check its personnel education and service manual of ‚Hans im Glück in Heidelberg’.

Based on my experience, i strongly do not recommend you to visit here.

Great place for burgers and cocktails right in the heart of the old city.

VEGETARIAN We have initially chosen this place due to the promise of a wide selection of vegetarian burgers. Indeed, there were 6 vegan options and 6 vegetarian options + seasonal vegetarian option.

MENU OPTIONS There is a possibility to get a menu with a side of fries or salad and a drink for the price of the burger + 5.90 eur if the order is made before 5 p.m. or the price of burger + 8.90 eur if ordered after 5 p.m.

The cocktail selection features classics with many gin based options.

The interior is cozy, decorated with birch trees. The seating plan looks tight. We were lucky as the place was not too full and it didn't feel too close for comfort. Each table has a selection of sauces available. The major downside is the toilets as they were quite dirty.

The service is friendly and quick.

Overall, I will come back to Hans I'm Glück again and will recommend this place...
