This is probably one of the best cafés in Sankt Goar. It is situated halfway on the pedestrian street between the Rhine river and the Rheinfels Castle. The home-baked cakes are simply delicious. They also offer some brunch options. The café is the perfect place to recharge amidst all the sightseeing and exploring available in the area.

Wir waren auch zu meinem Geburtstag am 2. Juni (2023) hier und genossen in kleinem Freundeskreis Torten und Suppen. Die Tischreservierung war angenehm unkompliziert, auch das Eingehen auf Nachfragen unsererseits wegen Unverträglichkeiten und damit zusammenhängenden Sonderwünsche meiner Gäste. Das Highlight war die phantastische Erdbeer-Joghurt-Torte, wirklich die bislang beste meines Lebens! Ich ließe es mir natürlich nicht nehmen, Herr Snichels, der sie gebacken hatte, zum Foto hinzuzubitten. Lieber Herr Schnichels, alle meine Gäste waren sehr zufrieden und haben es sehr bedauert, dass wir wegen der Fähre einen engen Zeitplan an diesem Tag hatten. Was für eine leckere Auswahl an Torten! Wir kommen wieder ---- und bestimmen die besonders alten Kaffeekannen weiter, die sie umlaufend auf den Wänden in Ihrem Café zeigen (leider habe ich im Trubel vergessen, davon ein paar Fotos zu machen). Weiter so! Und uneingeschränkte Weiterempfehlung!

Stayed locally and found this place on a bike run. Well worth stopping for the Black Forrest Gateau and coffee. The cake was very good and the prices reasonable and the portions generous. Don't be put off by the frontage, the cake choice inside is extensive and all made on site. We will be back!

Walked in and waited for over 10 minutes at the counter to be serviced. No response. Another set of people who do not look like me were serviced immediately. The reviews do not lie. Will not come here again.

Edited to Respond to Business: That's an absolute fallacy. Two couples walked in and were immediately seated at a table and another couple walked up to the counter and were serviced. The reviews don't lie! Check them out before buying at a place that doesn't service ALL...

Cakes were attractive and good. Cafe was clean. This place, however, seems to be coasting on a foregone age, where things were finer and gemütlich. Now, inferior paintings hang on the walls, magazine pages of english fashion scotch taped to the bathroom stalls and poorly uphostered seating are present. I had a Terrible experience at this place.

No WiFi. The staff members are completely useless. They are not helpful at all. Anything you ask, all they say “I am sorry” in their eyes you can see it is not a genuine apology at all. I do not know if it is too early for them to be at work (now the time 10am) or this how they are.
