The Hotel Felsenkeller is a typical German, non-chain hotel – simply and plainly furnished, clean, neat and comfortable. The rooms are of medium size, come equipped with a good internet connection and the owner’s family are warm and welcoming. At times when the reception is not available, you are given a key to the outside door and can come and go as you please. My room was located directly underneath the Hexenturm and had a small balcony. The quiet bus station is located immediately outside of the hotel and buses can take you directly to Idstein or Wiesbaden stations and thence to Frankfurt airport (note for travellers – you can buy a ticket on the bus straight through to Frankfurt Airport, i.e. for bus + train travel). All in all I am very happy to recommend this hotel situated in the pretty German town of Idstein and enjoyed...
