We had dinner here with our three young children, including a baby. The kids behaved really well — no crying, running, or shouting — and we left a tip after paying.
Just as we were about to leave, a staff member (not our server) approached me and, in front of a full terrace, said harshly and repeatedly: “Are you going to pick that up? Your children can do that. Extra points are earned here as it is not quite such a tourist trap as the other bars and restaurants in the very centre of the town, and as such carries a very pleasant ambience of an evening, although I would still recommend booking a table if you intend to eat here.
One might not expect to find a place such as this in Idstein but a craft ale enthusiast would be remiss for even attempting to go for dinner and drinks anywhere else...
