I found it weird that no one in my circle ever mentioned this place...since we all love steaks. If you’ve taken a stroll through downtown Kaiserslautern, this is the place with the tacky red carpet leading into it’s doorway.

Once seated, the waitress returns and sits down at a table next to us and starts to converse with another couple in a language I believe to be Bulgarian...with her back towards us.

She comes to our table about 3-4 minutes later and grudgingly explains the menu. For appetizers we ordered the onion soup, baked sheep’s cheese, and the tomahawk steak for the main course.

After the waitress walks off, she mouthed-off something to the table that she was just sitting at and the lady she was talking to snickers at the comment. When she noticed that we were watching, she promptly stopped laughing.

The food came quickly, granted the restaurant wasn’t busy. The onion soup didn’t have that rich, beefy taste that I’m use to and the broth was lightly colored. The sheep’s cheese was good, but they incompetently baked it with raw onions instead of caramelizing them first.

The steak. We ordered medium-rare but it was rare to raw in most places, lukewarm, lacked flavor, and the fat was hard and chewy instead of the rendered, creamy texture you would expect from a quality steak (tell-tale sign of low quality beef). Plus, the steak was topped with ice-cold butter that wouldn’t even melt. It came with some croquettes as well, but they were unremarkable. It tasted like they contained mostly flour with no seasoning. The salad consisted of lettuce with cucumbers and some vinaigrette.

It’s a reason why these steaks are “reasonably priced”...they aren’t that great. I can’t believe people are writing reviews about having the best steak of their lives...in Germany. Honestly, I guess it just depends on what type of steaks you are used to eating. If you like your steaks from Applebee’s and Ruby Tuesday’s, then you’ll probably think this place is a step-up. But if you know quality beef, keep searching. I’ve had better luck with steaks in the Ramstein and Einsiedlerhof area.

If the waitress wasn’t so rude and arrogant, I probably would have given this place 2 stars on the food alone. Judging by the owner’s response to comments, he doesn’t take criticism too well either. I’m interested in seeing his response. Oh well. I wouldn’t be surprised if that waitress was his wife. If you are a steak connoisseur, I’d recommend you use google translate and find some butchers that deliver overnight to cook your own. Trust me that’ll be...

I ordered baked camembert cheese with bread and got fried frozen camembert that had zero flavor. My wife and 2 sons ordered soup that tasted like water with a little bit of broth. My jeagerschitzel was a cream sauce with a few mushrooms added. For those of you that don't know the difference between a Jeagerschnitzel and mushroom cream sauce it won't make a difference. The salad that came with the meal was fresh but also tasteless and just some greens that looked like they were thrown on the plate with a few cucumbers and a tomato wedge as garnish. I have run a few restaurants successfully and normally wouldn't say anything but the service was mediocre and when I asked for a jeagerschnitzel instead of what I was served I was told "everyone else is happy with their meal and if you do not like what we served that is not my problem." It makes me wonder how they got such a high rating. Maybe they wrote them...

Extrem unfreundliche und ungepflegte Bedienung, die sich als Chefin ausgegeben hat.

Da das Essen grundsätzlich gut ist, wollten wir der Sache nochmal eine Chance geben, obwohl besagte Dame bereits in der Vergangenheit ihre eigene persönliche Unzufriedenheit in diesem Lokal ausgelebt hat.

Auch ihre Kolleginnen werden entsprechend behandelt und reagieren mit Kopfschütteln.

Der Koch scheint sein Handwerk zu verstehen, die angebliche Führungskraft nicht.

Zusätzlich zu ihrer gastunfreundlichen Art wirkt sie auch nicht sehr gepflegt, was natürlich Fragen bezüglich der Grundhygiene aufwirft.

Viele positive Bewertungen wirken nicht sehr authentisch, womöglich um negative, die alle in dieselbe Richtung gehen,zu kompensieren.

Wer die Gaststätte besucht, wird wahrscheinlich schnell nachvollziehen können, was hier sehr oft beschrieben wird.

Weiterhin ist kein Impressum einsehbar, was grundsätzlich verpflichtend ist.

So wäre festzustellen, ob die Kellnerin tatsächlich federführend tätig ist, oder mit der Aussage die Inhaberin zu sein lediglich Beschwerden an höherer Stelle umgehen möchte.

Sie scheinen mich zu verwechseln!

Ich war 15-20 Mal Gast in Ihrem Hause.

Des Weiteren gab es keinen wie von Ihnen geschilderten Vorfall bezüglich eines Pyjamas, zumindest nicht bei mir.

Das war dann wohl ein weiterer Gast, der unschöne Erfahrungen mit Ihrer Servicekraft gemacht hat.

Ohne es beabsichtigt zu haben, bestätigen Sie somit öffentlich, dass es augenscheinlich andere Vorfälle gibt, die gar nicht im Netz landen.

Sie haben wohl insgesamt viele arrogante und überhebliche Gäste, die mit Ihrer Bedienung nicht einverstanden sind, wie die seriösen Bewertungen zeigen, die alle in dieselbe Richtung gehen.

Aber den Service zu hinterfragen wird wohl gar nicht in Erwägung gezogen.

Weiterhin war meine Rezension fair, da das Essen mit 4 Sternen bewertet wird, zu Recht.

Der Service gibt leider nicht mehr her als einen Stern, wenn möglich, wären es Null.

Vielleicht sollten Sie daran arbeiten, anstatt aus Frust auf Kritik blind Gäste zu beleidigen.

Des Weiteren können Sie nicht die Person sein, von der ich hier berichte, da diese der deutschen Sprache nicht fehlerfrei mächtig ist.

Ich habe in den letzten Jahren 9 Bewertungen abgegeben, davon 7 Mal 5 Sterne, 2 Mal einen.

Dies ist Ihr Lokal und ein inzwischen verurteilter betrügerischer Autohändler.

Es muss sehr viel passieren, damit ich einen Stern vergebe.

Egal, wie Sie sich nun winden, ich bleibe vollumfänglich bei meiner Schilderung und bin mir sicher, es werden noch viele ähnlich gelagerten Erlebnisse folgen.
