A charming spot for anyone craving fresh, flavorful Vietnamese cuisine in a cozy, modern setting.

The menu is concise but well-curated, offering a nice balance of traditional dishes and contemporary takes—think fragrant pho, crispy spring rolls, and creamy coconut curries. The ingredients are fresh, and portions are generous, making it great value for money, especially for lunch.

Staff are very friendly and attentive, but during peak hours it can get quite busy, so service may be a bit slower than usual. It’s best to arrive slightly before traditional meal times if you want to avoid a wait or secure a good seat, especially on weekends. There’s limited indoor seating and it fills up quickly, but they do offer takeaway if you’re in a rush. Outdoor seating available, but mostly during spring and summer.

The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting with a clean, casual vibe—perfect for a quick bite, a casual date, or a catch-up with friends. The open kitchen concept adds a nice touch, letting you see the food being prepared fresh to order. Vegetarian and vegan options are available and clearly marked, which is a big plus for plant-based diners.

One thing to keep in mind is that the spice level tends to be mild to cater to local tastes, so if you’re looking for an authentic chili kick, don’t hesitate to ask for extra heat when you order.

Overall, Chao! Vietnam is a solid choice if you’re in Karlsruhe and in the mood for vibrant, satisfying Vietnamese food. Just plan your visit with timing in mind and enjoy the...

We randomly came across this restaurant on our way to another restaurant and decided to try it out. Chao Vietnam is a newly opened Vietnamese restaurant near Postgalerie that serves pretty fantastic authentic Vietnamese food. Their main menu has the popular options like Pho, and bun nem, but also includes dishes that are harder to find like papaya salad, and Mien Ga. We tried Bun Cha Hanoi and it was quite memorable, they grilled the meat on charcoal like how it supposed to be and they also include all the herbs that are quite hard to find here. However, their vietnamese menu (pic) is actually what surprised me the most. They have dishes like Dua Xao Top Mo that you can only find in local beer gardens or in a household meal in Vietnam to various types of authentic vietnamese hotpots. From my limited experience, chao vietnam is the MOST authentic vietnamese restaurant that i have tried in karlsruhe. I strongly suggest this restaurant to any Vietnamese people who miss their cuisine and for anyone who is interested in exploring...

will be dreaming about this place for the rest of my life. If I could give this place 1000 stars if I could!! When I say that the quality of this food is exactly the same as the quality in Hanoi, I am not joking. Obama needs to come here and crown the BĂșn Cha with his Obama Combo because that BĂșn ChĂĄ was so Good it gave me Flashbacks to trying a BĂșn ChĂĄ for the first time... an experience that I'm sure everyone wishes they could relive. All the tapas dishes were incredible. The Nem was so crunchy and dreamy. All the food was so fresh out of the kitchen I burnt my mouth. But I would burn my mouth all over again if it means I could taste this food again for the first time. You know what they say... scars hold memories and I think that's beautiful. The best part was that the Passagehof Parkhaus...
