We recently visited the market square in Karlsruhe, which lies centrally in the city along the main shopping routes. The square was restored a couple years ago following a lengthy period as a construction site for the underground tram, which has a major stop under the square.

All in all the, surfaces have been nicely refinished, the atmosphere was relaxed and joyful. Periodically bells played located under the roof of town hall.
