Our spontaneous visit to Restaurant Bootshaus on a Wednesday evening turned out to be a delightful culinary adventure. From the moment we entered until our departure, the service was nothing short of outstanding. Each staff member ensured our experience was seamless and enjoyable, contributing greatly to the evening’s success.

The menu offered a fantastic selection, and we opted for Adlerfisch, Dorade, and asparagus. Each dish was expertly prepared, highlighting the ingredients’ freshness and chefs’ skill. The house white wine was a perfect pairing, enhancing the flavors of our meals without overpowering them.

A special mention must go to the rhubarb tiramisu for dessert. It was a unique twist on a classic dessert, balancing the tartness of the rhubarb with the creamy sweetness of the tiramisu perfectly.

The presentation of the dishes was also noteworthy, with great attention to detail that elevated the dining experience.

An einem Sonntag im November... Ein Regenschauer spülte uns und viele andere Spaziergänger hier an und prompt geriet einer der Kellner in Panik und blieb erstmal weg! "Ich hoffe, sie haben Zeit mitgebracht", sagte er und verschwand! Nebenbei bemerkt: es war 15 Uhr und die Kuchentheke, die uns vorm Eingang versprochen ward, kaum befüllt. Und je mehr Zeit verstrich, bis sich jemand nach einer Aufforderung bemüßigte, wurde es leerer im Kuchenregal. 15 Uhr an einem Sonntag. Fragen? Wer konnte damit rechnen, dass es Leute gibt, die sonntags zur Kaffeezeit Kuchen essen wollen. Nun ja, nachdem alles weg war, mussten wir uns mit dem Rest zufrieden geben. Der Kellner brachte es binnen Sekunden, bevor auch das noch an andere Tische zu wandern drohte. Zugegebenen es war sehr lecker, wenn auch das letzte Stück Mohnkuchen eher ein Stückchen war! Gut dass zwischenzeitlich mehrere Gäste wieder gingen ob der mauen Kuchentheke & der ausbleibenden Bedienung, sonst wären wohl nur noch Krümel auf dem Teller gewesen. Jetzt noch ein Heißgetränk und Apfelschorle für die Kids, das wärs... Der große Cappuccino (den es auf der Karte gar nicht gibt) war lecker aber dann auch eher ein Espresso Macciato, der 3,10 € teure Mini-Latte etwas bitter und der Chai Pur war aus, die Apferschorle kam garnicht erst. Wieder lange Gesichter. Naja, was soll's. Aber die Aussicht ist echt nett und der 2. Kellner ganz freundlich. Aber Sonntags zum Kaffee, gehen wir dann doch woanders hin. Ruhigen Dienst noch. Ach wie ich höre, lässt es sich aber super dort feiern. Vielleicht läd mich...

Wonderful food & lovely locale with a terrace and a view of the Foehrde! Portions are very generous and prices good. Service was friendly, albeit slow (I ordered wine that never came - but wasn’t tragic). Only complaint is lack of elevator for handicapped people at the top of the restaurant (where the parking is).
