Restaurant Namaste — Restaurant in Krefeld

After seeing so many reviews and hype, thought of trying it once. This is the only restaurant which offers buffet so many times in a week!

Service was quite friendly and welcoming with smiling people. And that's the only positive news I can write here!

Food is not fresh at all! Rice was atleast 2 days old (any idiot could find it), it had ZERO vegetables in it and being an Indian kitchen, it offered one single vegetarian curry in whole buffet. My friends informed that the meat dishes weren't fresh or tasty either.

It's one time visit. If you ever tasted Indian food somewhere else, please avoid this restaurant. I feel sad for the friendly people over there, but I cannot go and eat there again.

This place is not an authentic indian food place. Looks like a south indian trying to serve north indian food and a fusion is not good. Their food was full of salt and masala but no taste at all. We ordered butter chicken it didn't taste like punjabi butter chicken at all. Portions were small and price was not worth. The naan they gave was not naan at all, it was just a loaf with maida, they didn't have tandoori roti being an indian restaurant. Their biryani was also not like indian biryani. Except chai the food was not at all either tasty or authentic. Their prices are high but not worth thefood they serve. I think the charges are only for the space they have. The host was friendly. I would avoid this...

Let me start with telling that this is not an Indian restaurant at all. The dishes preperad in buffet are not Indian style. The bread is pathetic. Maida (weizen brot) was being served. Lamb, rind fleich are being served and they are putting this in same counter with vegetarain food . I can understand fish, chicken being served in buffet but rind fleich seriously. The palak gravy, paneer masala, daal are not cooked as per Indian style. The owner is just using the Indian name and preparing the dishes as per German style.
