Embarking on a culinary journey to Nepal right here in Lüneburg, I found myself at MOMO, a delightful Nepalese restaurant. Opting for the Thakali set with lamb curry, I prepared for a feast fit for a Sherpa. Impressively, the food arrived in a mere 12 minutes and 16 seconds—a testament to MOMO's efficiency in the kitchen. Kicking off the meal with dumplings, I found them to be delightful, albeit lacking a bit in flavor, both in the veg momos and the accompanying sauce. However, the main course more than made up for it. The lamb curry was a true delight—tender, flavorful, and perfectly rounded in taste. The accompanying vegetables were a spice-laden sensation, tantalizing the taste buds with each bite. And let's not forget the dhal soup—a comforting addition that warmed the soul. Amidst the delightful aromas and vibrant atmosphere, the friendly service at MOMO only added to the experience. With good music filling the air, it was easy to lose oneself in the culinary delights of Nepal, right here in Lüneburg.

A pretty restaurant. WIFI, baby high chair, tables positioned with a good distance between them. Unfortunately, all three of us didn't like the taste of our (different) meals. Portions were extremely small. We ended up getting more food at another place around the corner after leaving this restaurant. Only when we left we saw a discounted 'mittags-menu'. We were not given the mittags menu card and ordered from the full price menu. Did the waiter just forget or intentionally not offer us this option too? Last note: we told the staff that one of us doesn't eat coriander. Nevertheless, this person's meal was served with coriander (because it's already pre-made, we were told). Of course the waiter should have said while ordering not when serving the food.

We visited Lüneburg today and discovered a hidden gem — an authentic and true Nepali restaurant named "MOMO" in Lüneburg. The experience was a delightful journey through the rich flavors of Nepal. The Momo platter, featuring various steamed, fried, and chili Momos, was full of authentic taste. Each bite offered a different but equally flavorful experience, especially the Jhol Momos in their tangy broth. The traditional Newari set and Nepali Thali enriched the meal, perfectly complemented by a chilled, made-in-Nepal beer. The service was fantastic, and Simberalla Didi was so so nice and made our day truly delightful. "MOMO" is truly a culinary treasure in Lüneburg. I definitely recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Nepali food and flavors.

I have visited this place a few times in the recent past and I will definitely recommend it to everyone. It's different than other South-Asian kitchens, I have visited in Germany.

The food is amazing. They serve the most authentic Nepalese dishes and Momos. They have 22 vegan dishes on their menu, which makes this place even more special.

The ambience is aesthetically calming and pleasing. So, if you are planning a date with your special one, you must check this place.

The staff is very friendly and attentive. And they speak both Deutsch and English, which makes it easy for everyone to interact with them.

My "Must-try" recommendations to you will be Pani-Puri, The Newari Set, Momos platter, chatpat and Samosa Chat. And nevertheless, their Coco-Lassi is a must try drink, which I couldn't not find anywhere else.

Must visit for a new and memorable...
