Great to read in reviews further below than my home town of Echterdingen is now a ‚city‘! With the addition of Monokel I think the queer community in LE finally has a much deserved place where you can feel welcome no matter what your identity is and it’s not exclusive in any way: everyone welcome is the vibe I got. I had a cafe latte with oat milk. They had it without sugar and two coffee beans to chose from, which I enjoyed. The place is cozy and creatively decorated in a 70s simple Scandinavian hygge kind of decor. There is an ‚office‘ in the back with free wifi for remote work. A beautiful coffeeshop with an amazing vibe. The staff are warm and genuine, and the atmosphere of both the inside and the Al fresco outdoor area was tremendous. I am traveller that was passing through, but I was treated and served like I was a regular there, a very familial feeling that's hard to describe and put into words. Pay the place a visit, and while you're there, be present and in the NOW, and you'd understand. Remember that it doesn't open on Mondays! (real shame, I had really wanted to spend Monday just working there with my lap top and buy drinks to support this lovely business!) I will 100% visit again if I ever find myself...

The overall atmosphere is vintage and warm. There are many users. I stood and watched the baristas make drinks and make patterns up close, which was pleasing to the eye and didn't feel like I was wasting my time at all. Have expertise in creating patterns and make them beautiful and fast. The seats inside and outside are arranged comfortably and beautifully. The bathrooms are very spacious but there are only two rooms. It's a great experience to come as a couple or group, great for meeting friends.
