Bella Italia Leipzig — Restaurant in Leipzig

New Italian restaurant as of Dec 2022.

I was originally skeptical of this place because all the reviews (8 at the time) were all a week old and overwhelmingly positive. Are they fake reviews by family, friends, and employees?

Well, I am none of those. This is a great restaurant. If I had never eaten gnocchi in Venice, this would easily be the best gnocchi I've ever had. Everyone was very pleased with their meal and the price is very reasonable.

This won't be a secret for long. Go here while you can before people find out about it.

Very bad. Atmosphere and service are ok but food… just a disaster. Minestrone was barely eatable because of enormous amount of black pepper. And it’s coming from me - person who loves black pepper very much. Pasta was overcooked. Schnitzel was dry and had the taste of paper. Salad with calamari was disgusting - salad was washed bad, sand in your mouth is not what you want to get, squids are from the jar, marinated. Silverware was served on damaged plate. Disgusting food for customers who never tried decent...

Hier mal unsere Erfahrungen, die sich in Sterne schlecht bewerten lassen.

Wer einen romantischen Abend mit feinem Essen verbringen möchte, ist hier falsch. Wer eine Pizza oder Pasta essen gehen möchte ist hier richtig.

Wir hatten als Vorspeise Anti pasti Platte für 2 Personen. Dazu kann man sagen das da noch viel Luft nach oben ist. Zweidrittel der Platte bestand aus Anti pasti wie sie auch bei Aldi zu kaufen wären. Am schlimmsten war die Mettwurst, die sicherlich eine Salami sein sollte. Statt gegrillter Paprika gab es Brokkoli, Tomate mit Mozzarella hätte mit Pesto oder frischem Basilikum bestimmt besser geschmeckt. Vitello und Carpaccio war drauf, leider aber nur für eine Person. Ich hätte gerne auch gutes Brot dazu gehabt oder frisch gebackene Pizzabrötchen - leider Fehlanzeige.

Wein: Ein leckerer Doppio Passo mit schönen Weingläser - leider war die Temperatur des Weines kurz vor Tee. 15 Grad top - 25 Grad nicht gut.

Pizza Gorgonzola und Pizza Salsicca war vollkommen okay. Dünn, groß, kross und lecker.

Der Service war freundlich und bemüht. Wein nachschenken Fehlanzeige, Süßstoff zum Espresso Fehlanzeige, mal fragen ob es noch etwas sein darf Fehlanzeige. Aber der Espresso und die Tasse war heiß.

Alles in allem noch viel Luft nach oben, aber für eine Pizza und ein Getränk...
