Leos Brasserie — Restaurant in Leipzig

We went out with cousins late evening for some beer & light food. Some in our table understood & spoke Deutsche but our conversations were in English because half of the table were visiting. The server got our order in a dismissive manner, of course half of the table didn’t know German food or the beer served there. This guy starts making rude & demeaning jokes with other tables who looked like their regulars or friends in Deutsche about us, sharing them across tables aloud. He serves beer with one hand while he is itching his rear and goes to the 2 tables & boasts about it. After, we were made aware what was happening, of course we didn’t continue our evening there. I’ve never seen or experienced anything like this in my decades of travel across countries & continents. In this day & time with google translate & social media, you would think people would try to be in their best...

We made a reservation here because of The review. We got there at 11am. But we immediately decided to go somewhere else. The buffet looked like it was attacked by a very hungry bunch. Most of the buffet was empty and not refilled. Plus the place was way to overcrowded. I guess one reason people like it here, is because of the masses of food, which again was not refilled, and it might be cheap. And I guess it is good enough for tourists who might not know the culture of german brunching. So you get a lot of food for little money and that is never bad (for some people). The table we were offered was squeezed in between other tables which were very tightly next to each other, so no privacy. We wanted to brunch in a relaxing environment and be able to communicate and hear each other. Here it was loud and packed. So we decided to leave after sitting down...

Good location, late working hours and reasonable prices are good things about this place.

Same can't be said for the Burger, one of the signature dishes. It was hands down the worst Burger I have had lately.

All ingredients were off the shelf, ones that can be bought from the supermarket. Buns were quite dry on the outside. Burger patty was big, but the taste leaves a lot to be desired.

Pommes is served as a side dish and is included in the price. However, the Burger itself is only half made. You have to add other ingredients which come separately (salad, pickles, tomatoes, onion and cheese) by yourself. Sauce options are mayo and the pack of ketchup.

Avoid if you want to order a Burger. There are much better...
