IMPERII — Restaurant in Leipzig

My friend and I used to be regulars at Imperii due to its close proximity to our offices, delicious cocktails, and friendly staff. However, on our last visit, we noticed the staff seemed to have changed as we were very rudely asked to leave to make room for other customers (who they had already turned away anyway!!). This is inherently not a problem - of course an establishment wants high turnover and I wouldn't mind at all. It is their approach that I find despicable. When the waitstaff comes over and says, "if you're not going to order anything else, we need you to leave," without any explanation except that we've been there long enough (we were seated at the bar, by the way), it is simply poor customer service. I am aware that customer service in Germany is non-existent, but at a place where a cocktail costs an average of 12€, one expects to be treated with a bit more politeness. Great cocktails , good cheese platter and good people work here. BUT the bar manager treats her staff and customers as though she doesn't need them. We went there thrice in last month but in our last visit, we bumped into her whilst she essentially told us : We have this table - take it or get out! She was overall very rude when we told her we are visiting and we don't have the LUCA app. On top , in the first 2 visits, we were always offered water on the house , but this time she essentially told the staff there is no water on the house but we have to buy the bottle. She is the epitome of a manager who controls her staff and even her customer based on her moods. Like everything in life she is flying high on success of her bar which truly good but if she continues treating people rudely the "high" will end faster than she ever imagined it! I recently visited Imperii Leipzig for dinner and had a generally enjoyable experience. The place itself is nicely decorated, creating a stylish and modern ambiance. The staff were excellent—friendly, attentive, and eager to make sure we had a good time.
