Pizzeria Ristorante La Fontana — Restaurant in Lindau (Bodensee)

PARENTS BE CAREFUL, DON'T BRING YOUR BABIES! on Saturday, April 16th, 2022 my one-year-old baby was offered by la Fontana staff a BABY CHAIR that was BROKEN/ in POOR STATE and which COLLAPSED no more than 5 minutes after sitting my baby on it. My heart sunk when I saw how my baby FELL STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR, hitting his bottom and back. NOBODY, NOR WAITER OR THE MANAGER took the life-threatening accident seriously and the waiter ONLY apologized to us after we complained about his RUBBISH service, once we were asked how the service was. The APATHY OF THE STAFF towards my CHILD is what hurt me the most, treating him as he was a mere OBJECT, a broken plate or wine glass that you pick up from the floor, discard it and forget about it 5 minutes after. After complaining, the waiter DISMISSED our claims and made up a CHEAP EXCUSE as to why he and the staff cared so little for a one-year-old BABY getting hurt in their restaurant...and on top of that, we end up PAYING THEM, for their horrible and unwelcoming service, 30 euros....

Nice spot and atmosphere. The first table we were offered had a lingering smell of trash around it. Insalata caprese was clearly straight out of a fridge. It was too cold and the quality of the tomatoes and mozzarella was average at best. For the main course I had a pasta dish that was likely heated in a microwave as it was partly cold and partly hot. The large bottle of mineral water was warm. My partner had a green pepper steak which was edible. The cream sauce was tasteless aside from the peppers. They didn’t ask about how I wanted it to be cooked but it was medium nevertheless. The service was overall minimalistic and to the point which I wouldn’t usually mind but here it gave an impression of general lack of enthusiasm. At least it was swift. No check was given when asked for, only the final amount....

This was not a good experience and I am easy to please. Waiter forgot our food. We saw the order on his electronic machine. One hour later I asked what happened. He said he thought we didn't want food. There was no confusion. If he said sorry I forgot, ok.. we all make mistakes. But he lied and then instead of discounting our drinks he over charged 5 euro on a 10 euro drink order.He said beer 3.50 plus wine 5.50 and charged 14.90 euro. Then had the audacity to say the difference was bottle of water.I would never eat there again. However we walked up the hill to Hotel and ate there. Great food, terrific service. I would...
