Bland ramen and the price is not very reasonable for that quality (I got better ramen from Ramen Jun Frankfurt with much cheaper price). I have to wait quite a long time for my ramen, but it could be understandable because they got many customers that day, still I hope for much shorter waiting time in the future. There was no excuse for the bland ramen though. I couldn’t taste anything in the broth, it’s just bland like instant noodles. The only thing I could taste is the chili flakes and that’s all. This is the first ramen bar in Marburg and I had hoped so much but got really disappointed. I hope the quality will be improved in the future. The waitresses were not very friendly but I like the owner. She is very friendly and nice.
I also ordered Okonomiyaki, which tasted pretty bad (and quite unredeemable, I think they should remove it from the menu), it lacked many key ingredients, only two tiny pieces of meat, and the batter wasn’t properly cooked, but I should be blamed here. Ordering an Okonomiyaki in a Ramen Bar is a no no.
Reading the good reviews here makes me think that I wasn’t in the same ramen restaurant as them. I will return to this restaurant one more time next week to re-check if what I ate is really the best quality they could give or they could do better and I was just unlucky to be there...
Read moreI have 3 vaccinations and I am convinced in favor of covid protection measures. That said....
I wanted to have dinner in this restaurant a week ago, during a long week end trip I have shown my covid digital pass - ok I have shown my driving license - not OK. I was refused to be served/seated. They would have only accepted a personal ID or a pass.
I find this out of mind! Absolutely you have to prove that the covid pass belongs to you with a kind of official ID. But... C'mon for this purpose No one ever will convince me taht a driving license is less reilable than a personal ID.
To my protests they answered that this is supposed to be a regional law. I do not know for sure. What I know is that since covid pass exists I have traveled Germany (a lot), Italy, France, Greece and every one has always accepted the driving license without a glimpse.
What I also know is that in the very same week end I have visited TONS of other restaurants and All of then accepted the driving license as ID without a word.
For sure now the owner will answer and say I am crazy and they just do what they have to. Well me too... Meaning I have to indorm people what to expect and describe my experience with...
Read moreReally cute place, friendly but not professional staff, and bad quality ramen. The ramen soup was way too salty for something that people supposed to drink. The noodles that was used are not ramen, more like “Asian egg noodles” in European supermarkets. Which was, over cooked. There are only two vegetables, one of them being not entirely fresh bean sprout and the other being the mais from can. My half egg was entirely cold when it was served, and also, very salty. When I told the waiter that the egg was cold, one of them said:” okay, at least you liked it.” And left.
Described in another way, would be the same as going to a Italian restaurant and being served a pizza with taco bread and only mais and ketchup on top, with cold cheese. Don’t think it will be as acceptable since European people know how a good pizza taste like.
I won’t come back again and will never recommend this place to another person. Especially if you are used to good...
