Royal India — Restaurant in Memmingen

I'm surprised at the number of postive review here. We ordered and were promptly forgotten about, even though the restaurant was not busy, apparently they were busy dealing with take away orders.

After enduring a long wait without even a meagre crumb off a popadom we had to remind the waiter about our order, the waiter was charming with his effusive apologies.

When the food came it was disappointing to say the least, a luke warm chicken jalfrezi lacked any chilli heat despite it being advertised as spicy. The pilau rice was greasy. almost inedible. The saving grace of the experience was a delicious lentil dahl, thankfully served hot. It was really good.

The bill was eye-watering for the quality of food and service and the waiter seemed peeved that we did not tip. It seems that these guys care more about their take away business, I guess that's not their fault, but they need to remember the customers in their...

In Memmingen for business, traveling from the US. Stopped in with some colleagues as we were craving good Indian food, and we were not disappointed. My Kashmiri chicken was delicious and perfectly spiced with flavorful heat. My colleagues also thoroughly enjoyed their Chicken Tikka Masala and Tandoori platter. The service was top-notch and they were gracious with our lack of German, even providing English menus right off the bat. At the end, we realized we’d messed up by not having cash or a debit card to pay. The young man helping us took our company credit card regardless, saying we were guests here. Went for an early dinner with our 1 year old an 3 year old kids.

We where kindly greeted by the staff and they where very friendly in Helping is choose food friendly for kids and recommend dishes for us adults.

Food was ready in 20 minuttes and it was very delicious.

Our waiter checked up on us during the meal and the had lots of room for our kids. All this while still serving other customers.

They Prices very fair and we will definetly return next time we travel...
