I recently visited AOI Ramen, a small restaurant that specializes in ramen dishes. While my overall experience was mixed, there was one standout element that made the trip worth it: the dessert options. The restaurant itself was quite small, with small tables and chairs that unfortunately weren't very comfortable to sit on, especially when trying to enjoy a hearty bowl of ramen. The menu options were also a bit limited compared to other ramen places I've been to, but the ramen soup itself was flavorful and relatively cheap. However, the portion size was not very generous, and I found myself wishing for more food despite the affordable base price. If you're planning to visit AOI Ramen, be prepared to order extras to supplement your meal. But when it came to dessert, AOI Ramen really delivered. The sesame mochi ice cream and its variations were absolutely unforgettable - the perfect sweet and creamy end to a satisfying meal. In fact, the desserts were so good that I would consider returning to AOI Ramen just for them. Overall, while AOI Ramen is a decent choice for a quick and affordable ramen meal, it wouldn't be my top pick for a luxurious dining experience. However, if you're a fan of sesame mochi ice cream or just looking for a tasty dessert spot, AOI Ramen is definitely worth checking out.

❗️Chicken only ❗️ ⚠️ Cash and EC-Karte only My ramen was absolutely delicious but I was surprised to learn that they only ser ramen with chicken or vegetarian. I was looking forward to some pork. Nevertheless, they do have some seafood for other dishes, like the fried octopus I had as an appetizer, which was also great ✨ The service was also good, the lady was super nice and tried her best to be as fast as possible, unfortunately, she was the only one serving and, thus, it took longer that it should to take the order, to get the food and to pay. Overall, I had a good experience, would recommend the place. But 👀 reservations are encouraged, I saw many ppl rejected bc they didn't have a table booked.

We tried AOI Izakaya for the first time with a friend the other night, and were pleasantly surprised. Big fans of Takumi in Maxvorstadt — but not big fans of waiting in line for ~30 minutes to eat soup — we were excited to see a well-reviewed ramen spot in the neighborhood. The interior looked lovely, but we sat outside and enjoyed the warm evening air. Our server was attentive and friendly, and the gyoza were delicious, but I think we were enjoying ourselves too much when it came time to order; instead of the delectable-looking ramen bowls pictured in the menu, we each received a plain bowl of noodles with a bit of meat and broth; I'm pretty sure we missed out on a menu of "add-ons" that would have taken our orders to the next level. Oh well... we'll just have to go back! Psyched to have great ramen at...
