Emporio Italiano — Restaurant in Munich

Despite the sterling reviews I find the food here rather average and at points even disappointing -e.g. the carbonara here is no better than what you get in L’Osteria despite it being a supposedly authentic Italian restaurant. I ordered a carbonara and it was delicious! The service was perfect, the waiters spoke Italian which helped with the atmosphere as well, and they were very attentive and kind. I also ordered a lasagna to go and they offered some cheese and bread to go with it, which I appreciated....

WIEDER AUF, ein Wunder ! Gleicher Koch, es schmeckt ... Sehr schön, und geschmacksvoll, in der Tat +++

Zum Schluß eine Cassata Siciliana essen! (Gibt es wieder ...) Wundervoller und preiswerter Mittagstisch, bis hin zu Seezunge ! Excellenter Koch ! Und guter, aufmerksamer Service, voll der Diskretion (das ist wichtig !). Der "Kritiker" ist zufrieden und genießt, immer öfter.

Wahrlich hervorragender Koch, es schmeckt wie "auf dem Lande", aber nach Art eines Sterne-Lokals. Eine kleine Portion Nudeln kostet jedoch, spektakulär, nur etwa 10 Euro. Dazu einen Chianti bestellen ! Als Nachspeise (bisher) Cassata Siciliana, dazu gekauft, aber extrem lecker. Die Kellner sind echte "Charakter-Typen", die auch in einem Roman vorkommen könnten.
