Café Münchner Freiheit — Restaurant in Munich

I'm really split in my opinion here. I would give it two reviews, one with 4 stars and one with 2 stars, so I give it 3 and here are both reasons: 4 stars because the location is perfect and even though it is always full of people and it might be difficult to find a place (not the cafe's fault), you can enjoy the sun outside or have it cozy and warm inside. Also, the food is great most of the time. Except for the Apfelstrudel, which was near to disgusting, everything else I have tried is just yummy. And the children can play in the park beside it. 2 stars because the staff is the unfriendliest I have ever seen. It's like they really do not want to be there and it can take ages for your order to arrive or even for them to go and take your order. I have had some staff being so unfriendly, that I stopped going for...

I've been there for a quick brunch on a very busy sunny sunday. The outside area by the kids park was very crowded, which was the reason I went inside for a seat. There are plenty of spaces for people in inside/outside. My waitress came to see me after a couple of minutes, even she was almost running around to serve customers. I guessed her age at around 60. Very friendly an very supportive with my order changes to ask for cheese instead of meat. The breakfast/brunch selections are very good, cheap and of very good quality. The prices are, in comparison to the amount/quality of food combined with the service, excellent. Will be there again for breakfast or brunch. Don't know about lunch and dinner. But their handmade cakes are...

Location: it is directly at Münchner Freiheit, you can easy reach by public transportion, there is a park lot nearby too. (5)

Environment: it has a large room for cakes and sweeties, then it has 2 more floors for cafe. You could get sunshine if you go upstairs nearby the windows. Usually it’s busy. (4.5)

Food: I think the cakes are excellent, you could order a birthday cake there too. The cafe is so so from my personal taste. (4)

Service: the stuffs from both area are friendly, nice and supportive. Although not everyone speaks English but they try to help. (5)

Price: I think it’s a normal price for a cafe shop in Schwabing. (4.5)

Overall: 4.4 I go there...
