Rice Garden - Modern Vietnamese Kitchen — Restaurant in Munich

I wanted to give this 5 stars for the food alone but the kitchen service was very disappointing. Especially since we're a family of 4 with 2 kids. We had a reservation at 19:00 and arrived at 18:55. We were seated some time after 19:00 then immediately following in our row were 2 tables of 2 and a table of 4. Some time later, another table of 2 behind us. We ordered all food and drink within 15 minutes of being seated. 2 of the tables of 2 after us had ordered food, eaten, ordered dessert, eaten, paid before we ever received our food! The last table of 2 we saw seated well after us received their food before us. The other table of 4 also had to ask about their food. We received our food at 20:28 even after the server assured us our food was coming soon (@ 20:04). Seemed like the kitchen was prioritizing food for tables of 2. Unacceptable.

The food, when it finally arrived, was really great. We all loved everything we ordered. Our server did provide a dessert for free but this was not enough to make up for the terrible timing on receiving the food. I do appreciate the effort though. Based on the other reviews this seems not the normal way but this was our experience. Sometimes you only get one chance.

If you have time, this place is great. The food was lovely. But based on our 1 experience we don't ever plan to come back. Waiting more than an hour for food while other smaller tables ordered, ate, and paid before we received our food is completely unacceptable. Great food ruined by a...

I had an excellent experience at this Vietnamese restaurant! I’ve been here twice, and both times I was really satisfied. The food is truly exceptional, with high-quality ingredients and authentic flavors that stand out. The staff is incredibly attentive and made sure everything was perfect during both visits.

...gemischte Gefühle gleich vorweg, das Essen ist vorzüglich ABER trotz Reservierung wartet man im Eingangsbereich/Garderobe gedrängt zu 20 Personen unter von der Decke baumelnder Deko ca 15 min, lässt die von ihren Tischen verscheuchten Gäste mühsamst passieren, die dann in dieser Raumknappheit auch noch sich ihrer Garderobe bemächtigen müssen.. endlich kommt ein Tablett bewaffneter missmutiger Jüngling und ruft wie beim Arzt die Namen der jeweiligen Reservierung auf. Man wird zum Tisch geführt, welcher erst noch in der herrschenden Enge umgestellt werden muss. Man entledigt sich seiner Jacke, will sich setzen und den Stuhl zurecht rücken, reisst sich dabei am Fensterbrett, welches mit scharfkantiger abstehender Metalleiste versehen ist , den Handrücken auf... Es ist eng, super laut, jeder versucht noch lauter zu sprechen um sein Gegenüber zu verstehen.. Der nächste blasierte Jüngling erscheint um missmutigst die Bestellung zu notieren. Die Getränkebestellung kommt zügig von erfreulichst motiviertem weiblichen Personal, die Jungs sollten bei ihren weiblichen Kolleginnen einen Benimmkurs belegen!

Essen ist wirklich vorzüglich und die Preise sind es wert! Warum zum Verzehr von Sparibs zum Händereinigen stärkstens parfümierte Erfrischungstücher statt wie üblich warme Frotteetücher gereicht werden ist wohl dem Rotstift der Buchhaltung zuzuschreiben Schade, den der Geruch dieser Tücher verleidet einem das Mal
