I've wanted to try this very cute café for a while, but... The staff (the elder gentleman) is waaaaay too "friendly". I went there by myself and advise other women not to repeat my mistake - the "compliments" of the owner (I suppose) were so frequent that they came across super creepy. I had just ordered a coffee and started working on some notes, when this gentleman went through the tables asking the guests of everything is ok (which in itself is great), but somehow of all the people sitting there he went on to rub my shoulder. Mind you, I wasn't even looking at him, I was writing in my notebook and only realized what's happening when his hand was already off my shoulder. He didn't do that with any of the other guests/tables (there was one couple and another table with two older ladies). The coffee quality was espectacular. We order two Espresso Doppio Machiatto and one Capuccino and they were perfect. Also, the variety of sweets it offers is enormous, nothing I've seen in classic Munich coffees so far; cookies, many types of canoli, cakes, kuchen, etc. We order a Pistaccio Torte, Torta de la Nonna and a Canolo Siciliano, and they were impressive, the exact amount of sugar to have with a coffee to not get sick with sugar. I think that the negative reviews about the owner being intrusive or overly "friendly" are honestly mostly because of cultural differences.
