DHABA is truly an Indian culinary treasure in the heart of Münchener Freiheit. My recent dining experience here was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to their exquisite Chicken Butter and Biryani. The Chicken Butter, also known as Chicken Makhani, was a revelation of flavors. Tender pieces of chicken were delicately simmered in a rich and velvety tomato sauce, infused with aromatic spices and a very generous amount of butter. Each bite was a symphony of taste, leaving me craving more long after the meal was over. The rice is fillable and you can have unlimited amounts of well cooked and seasoned Basmati rice. Equally impressive was the Biryani, a masterpiece of basmati rice layered with succulent chicken, caramelized onions, and a blend of fragrant spices. The dish was cooked to perfection, with every grain of rice infused with the essence of the spices, creating a harmonious blend of flavors that danced on my palate with every bite. Beyond the exceptional food, the ambiance at DHABA was amazing with its warm colors, traditional music, and inviting atmosphere. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, adding to the overall charm of the dining experience. Whether you're a seasoned of Indian cuisine or someone looking to embark on a culinary adventure,DHABA is a must-visit destination. With its delectable dishes, inviting ambiance, and impeccable service, it's no surprise that DHABA has become a beloved restaurant in the local dining scene. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Please do not make the mistake of telling yourself that nobody goes out midweek. No, this place fills up unless you come very early so reserve! The inside is decorated with statues and a large freize at the back to add to the atmosphere. The beer is Ayinger, a good Munich Helles and you don't have to wait. After ordering our food l we received Papadums on the house with the usual collection of sauces. The food comes reasonably quickly (and not long after the Papadums), I took a Chicken Tikka which was served with rice and ordered an extra Garlic Naan. The Naan came hot (it doesn't always) and the Tikka came with sauce on the side with an extra portion of hot sauce as I ordered it way. This allowed me to adjust the spiciness to a comfortable level. If you are not in to spicy curries, they also offer gentle possibilities. The only observation now is that perhaps these days they could expand their vegetarian options for main courses. They offer some but could possibly do more. The chicken meat in the Tikka was off the bone and very tender. My evening together with four beers came to less than €30, a very reasonable price given the quality. We didn't seem to wait for our order (we were just five) and everyone received their food quickly. I have been to this place something like four years ago. Restaurants can vary a lot over time. This one has definitely maintained its quality.

People are easy to throw 5 stars out of excitement. If you provide 5 star so easily how do you expect restaurants to remain humble and keep improving. This is a 3.5 to 4 star restaurant. Welcoming process is quite mild and mostly a fire and forget procedure. The very busy personnel will not bother to remain with you and seat you properly. Food is very good. Not excellent. Just pretty good. Portions are neither large nor small. I do not understand why some people over estimate their portions. Serving time is on the “later” than “sooner” spectrum. It is obvious that the restaurant managers are trying to minimize wagers rather than emphasize customer service. Decoration is rather dated but still serves its purpose. Environment is quite suffocating. It seems these people do not understand proper ventilation regulations. It feels very stuffed. The restaurant is seriously under ventilated. If you have asthma or breathing problems bring along your equipment or avoid this place totally. Hygiene is quite ok. Toilets are clean BUT BE AWARE. There are totally inappropriate sexual kamasutra theme postures with genitals all over the place. Just don’t let your children go there alone..!! Pricing is really good. We were 14 pax. The total was 300 Euro.
