I recently celebrated my bachelorette party at Indian Cave Karaoke on a Friday night, and unfortunately, the experience was marred by an extremely unpleasant encounter with the security staff. Upon our arrival, the security guard at the door interrogated each of us about where we were from before allowing us to enter. Each time we went outside to smoke, he behaved rudely and made xenophobic comments, telling us to "get out of Germany" and expressing his disdain for our presence.
We initially tried to engage with him to understand his issue, but he escalated the situation by sharing his unsolicited political views. We reported the incident to the manager, hoping it would be resolved, and decided to change venues to avoid ruining my special night.
As we walked away from the club, the same security guard followed us, continuing his harassment by complaining about our noise level and insisting we leave. This was the first time I felt unsafe in Germany, and it was deeply distressing, especially on such an important day for me.
The manager's response was disappointing; he suggested that our emotions were due to alcohol and offered us free shots to "make it up to us," which felt dismissive and inappropriate given the severity of the situation. Despite the efforts of the other staff members, including the waitresses and DJs, who were understanding and supportive, no serious action was taken to address the security guard's behavior.
I used to enjoy visiting Indian Cave Karaoke with my colleagues, but after this experience, I can no longer recommend this place. It’s crucial for establishments to ensure their staff, especially those responsible for security, treat all patrons with respect and dignity. This experience has left a lasting negative impression, and I hope the management takes appropriate steps to prevent similar incidents in the future.
Given that my fiancé received a response to his review attempting to make us look bad, I fully expect a similar reply here. This kind of deflection only highlights the management's inability to handle such serious complaints properly. To address the claim that we were overly emotional due to alcohol, I will attach the bill showing the minimal amount we consumed. We were a group of seven girls, and we had just started our night at this place, so the amount of alcohol was...
Read moreI had a terrible experience at this bar due to their racist security guard. He judged us harshly because of our Syrian nationality, displaying open hostility.
Here’s what happened: I’ve lived in Germany for two years without encountering racism until now. We were a group of girls celebrating a bachelorette party. Upon arrival, the security guard asked where I was from. When I said Syria, he sarcastically smiled and said he has problems with Syrians, I didn’t want to escalate the discussion and ruin my friend night so I just went in.
Later, when we went outside for a smoke, he continued his racist remarks every time, accusing all Syrians of every bad thing you can imagine and judging us by religion as well and that we don’t belong we shouldn’t be in Germany. We tried to discuss it politely, but he wouldn’t listen. We complained to the manager, who apologised, but as we were leaving we were standing in the street for less than a minute , the guard followed us, kicking us away saying you are loud you shouldn’t be here and mumbling more insults for us Syrian’s, given that there was more groups of people there louder than us, the manager then came and defended him, asking us for proof of his behavior and only offered us a shot as compensation !! while the guard stood there glaring at us with hate!
This experience left me disappointed and scared. It’s unacceptable for a security guard to interrogate and judge guests. We should learn to accept everyone, no matter their country or religion. Anyone who can’t do that shouldn’t work in a place that serves the public.
They ruined our night, and I will never forget...
Read moreMy friends and I made a reservation (20:30) we arrived 15 minutes late and lost it, we got it. Someone invited us to their table and we sat there for one hour and then we realized the table next to us had a 21:00 reservation and it was already past 21:15 and no one arrived, we asked the waitress if we could sit there and keep the table since we had more friends coming and she agreed. Around 22:10 a different waitress comes to us and say we have to give up the table because the people who reserved the table arrived, we had just ordered a round of 10 shots and cocktails, we told her we were given the table since the reservation passed and no one came and that we lost our reservation the same way, she started inventing excuses and saying that these people were part of a bigger group and she couldn't do anything, that we had to give up the table. We didn't want to fight her anymore and agreed to leave the table as soon as we finished our drinks, the lady walked in front of our table every two minutes and made eye contact rushing us to drink, it was so uncomfortable, in two different occasion she asked us how much more time we needed. It was embarrassing for my friend and me, we were having an amazing time, planning to do karaoke and keep drinking, such a shame. The other two waitresses (the one who brought us drinks and the one who gave us the table) were really nice people, such a shame we had this experience, it gives us the feeling of not being welcomed there anymore. We've been a few times before and had...
