Kerala Restaurant — Restaurant in Munich

Yummy food. Visited 4 times. So far I tried: Mixed platter South Indian Mixed platter Kerala style Chole bhature(only available during lunch hours on weekdays. Otherwise have to order chana Masala and separately Bhatura. Therefore higher price with extra rice) Medu wada Idli Masala dosa Mint paratha Uttapam Chicken chettinad (spicy like in Pune, but less salt) All were very tasty and freshly made. 5 star for food. The guy who welcomes you to restaurant is very polite and serves with smile. 5 star for him. The 2 older guys who serve the food is always without a smile and somewhat rude. The details are mentioned in other reviews by people. 1 star for the service by them. One example: I requested the welcoming guy for white chutney and he gladly packed two and refused to take extra money when I offered. However on my last visit the older guy pointed to the chutney served with papadam and was annoyed to see it's already emptied by us. Another example the 1st guy rather left the menu with us when we said after dinner we will decide on take home menu. However last time the older guy refused to leave menu with us despite the fact that only 4 tables were occupied and it was 17:45 However I disagree to some of the feedback: They are not racist. The behaviour is same to everybody. I was with a German guy. Also observed their behaviour to other tables with European vs Asian customers. Everywhere in Germany you are charged for water. The service by the older guys are at par with many other German restaurants and beer garden. Yes a bit reserved and serves without smile. The price is logical given the fact most ingredients...

Very poor service unfortunately/ could file a lawsuit: informed the waiter that I had a nut allergy and asked multiple times whether my dish contained any nuts (it was mutton Biryani and nuts weren't mentioned anywhere on the menu) was first given the wrong dish, noticed that there were nuts for garnish on top of it and told the waiter of my allergy again was brought the right dish but with nuts again. I handed one of the nuts to the waiter to show him and he replied "That's not a nut. That's ginger." Like we are not full grown retards right?! He then argued whether it was an almond or cashew nut. Then put the blame on me and shouted at me that I was lying and never informed them of my allergy. I replied that I had told this to at least three waiters including him to which he replied that the other two didn't know anything and couldn't give information. He left angrily and brought back another dish in which I also found 2-3 whole cashew nuts. Since the shape of the cashew nut was clearly recognisable he couldn't argue anymore. We then directly talked to the manager who apologised and offered me some free food. We left no tips and the waiter never even apologised once. I had tummy pain for the rest of the night, next time I will sue you. It's really a shame because the food itself...

First kindly change the name Kerala, you guys have nothing to do with Kerala or tamilnadu spices.

Ordered Biriyani it was rice Chill and Koriander mix. Sorry this is not biriyani !

My friend had Masala Dosa and it was just potato cooked with turmeric powder and no salt. I wonder whether they use Urud Dal in Dosa batter or not. Looked like rice and tasted bland.

Coming to service very unprofessional people were getting lectured eventhough the waiter was taking wrong orders. I mean how can you make failure in making an aperolspritz ?

They just through you the bill if you don’t pay them tip. I mean why should someone pay tip for your cheap unprofessional service .
