We've been there twice: the 1st visit (ordered 'benedicts eggs') was all OK the 2nd - a big disappointment :( As others commented - it's rather pricey, especially given that it's self-service (canteen like) and that e.g. they charge even an extra 1eur for a piece of cake if you take it with your coffee on the spot (it's cheaper for take away).
Today it was quite unpleasant because I specifically asked for a black coffee (I even said it in German: schwarze Kaffee), adding that it should be a large one ('grosse'..). When presented a tea pot, I explained that I actually wanted coffee, not tea. The staff frowned at us as if it was my fault! Eventually they did give me the coffee. No 'sorry', though, or anything, even though they charged me more than they should have (tea was more expensive)...
I did ask for scrambled eggs (which were not on the menu) and they complied but.. the eggs were completely dry and looked like a broken omelet. They included a roll but when I asked for a butter, they offered a tiny piece for 1.1 eur extra! :D
Even though they advertise as a family bakery, we saw at least some of the cakes that they sold in another bakery, and it was cheaper in the other place (and with no price difference for take-away vs on-the-spot orders).
After today we will not be...

Please note that during cold or rainy days the inside gets very full. During summer time and nice sunny days you can sit outside and enjoy the breeze.
There are plenty of parking spots around especially for those with...
Read moreIt's such a shame, wonderful pastries and breads with awful stuff. They got the order wrong, and when we tried to speak with them, a waitress screamed at me in front of the people sitting there. They refused to correct our order by refunding us or replacing the drinks with something else. My husband is sensitive to regular milk, and they refused to change it. We are Swedes, and often we meet Germans. We communicate in English why couldn't them do the same? Or maybe not screaming at costumers...
