Trattoria Paganini — Restaurant in Munich

WARNING - DOES NOT ACCEPT CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS!!!

The note about cards is hidden on the drinks menu outside - we only looked at the food menu outside and it was not obvious there.

Inside, no warning that cards are not accepted, otherwise we would not have eaten there.

The issue of the cards came to a head at the end of the meal - I went to several locations in the torrential rain to find an ATM that was working. The one nearest the restaurant at the Aldi was not working. It took over 50 mins, with the wife and children waiting at the restaurant.

Now the food - the meal was fine - not the best Italian food we’ve had but passable. We had 3 pasta dishes and 1 pizza - the pizza base was not great, 2 of the pasta dishes were just ok and 1 was good.

The service (except for the lack of warning about the card) was good.

We’re it not for the card issue, I would have awarded 3 stars and if the food was better, I would have gone for 4-5 stars.

The service overall is the reason for 2 stars, otherwise it would be a 1 star rating I’m afraid.

We had nicer meals in Munich and did not let this experience...

Heute (Werktag 19:30) war die Lust auf Pizza groß und da in dieser Gegend abends nicht viel los ist und die meisten Restaurants geschlossen haben, wurde mir vom Hotel dieses Restaurant empfohlen. Angekommen war ich ein wenig über die Einrichtung überrascht aber nach einer freundlichen Begrüßung durch den Kellner machte ich es mir auf einem Fensterplatz bequem. Direkt wurde die Speisekarte und die Tageskarte gebracht. Die umfangreiche und auch bunt gemischte Tageskarte ließ auf eine gute Küche schließen und (auch wenn ich heute nur Pizza wollte) es würde bestimmt jeder etwas für sich finden. Ich entschied mich für Pizza mit Champignons und Salami. Die Pizza kam (weil neben mir nur noch ein weiterer Tisch belegt war) sehr schnell. Lockerer luftiger Teig mit .... und das war eine negative Überraschung ... Pilzen aus dem Glas (!). Leider konnte auch die Salami den Rest der Pizza nicht mehr retten. Aus diesem Grund lediglich 3-Sterne. Über die anderen Gerichte kann ich leider nichts sagen. So etwas habe ich bisher lediglich im Frankfurter Raum erlebt und dort die Erfahrung gemacht, dass man extra bei der Bestellung angeben soll, dass "frische" Pilze gewünscht werden. Vielleicht gilt dies ja auch für dieses Restaurant. Schade. Pizza: 2 Sterne Speisenangebot: 4 Sterne Bedienung: 4...

Old school Italian restaurant. I love the style. Carpaccio was served like 30 years ago, plain meat and some Parmesan pieces (not shavings) on top and a lot olive oil. Nothing else.
