Lan Anh is a small Thai restaurant located in Schwabing (Munich), boasting an impressive 4.7 stars on Google. Given these stellar reviews, I visited with high expectations, hoping to discover a hidden pearl among Munich's Thai dining options. However, my experience was rather disappointing.

Firstly, it's important to note that Lan Anh is not one of the fancy Asian restaurants in the city, and that's reflected in its ambiance and prices. On the positive side, the food here is quite affordable, and the owners are genuinely nice and friendly, which added a welcoming touch to the visit.

However, the critical aspect – the food – fell short. I found the dishes to lack authenticity. Both the curry and the sate sauce tasted like ordinary sauces you could easily buy from a supermarket. This was a letdown, especially considering the high ratings.

Authentisches asiatisches Restaurant mit Schwerpunkt Vietnam und japanisches Sushi/Sashimi. Die Qualität ist frisch und gut. Wie bei so vielen Sushi Restaurants überwiegt aber zu viel Reis im Sushi und die Reisqualität ist ok, aber kein japanischer Reis. Erlebe ich leider aber auch sehr selten. Handwerklich solide gemacht. Viel Masse, da viel auch außer Haus bestellt wird. Dafür aber ordentlich und sauber zubereitet. Der Fisch ist nicht beste Qualität, aber die meisten werden den Unterschied nicht schmecken, da ihnen der Vergleich fehlt. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und sehr bemüht. Die Dame für die Cocktails macht ihren Job sehr gewissenhaft und professionell. Ich habe an der Theke sitzend ihre Arbeit verfolgen können. Scheinbar auch ein Familienbetrieb.
