Münchner Suppenküche — Restaurant in Munich

Ive been tricked for high tips. I always paid in this place an exact amount for a meal, but today they gave me a terminal to enter the amount by myself. I thought that as usually, you enter your dish amount + tip, which supposed to be the whole payment. Because I didn’t see any other amount in the screen, so I entered 8 (7.50+50), thinking that I didn’t want to leave a tip but since they asked I wanted to give something just for being nice. So they charged me 15 Euro but I didn’t see that! :( that is very sad because these workers see that you are a foreigner and then they make you pay double of the price of the soup. WATCH OUT for extra charge!! Will never go to this shifty...

Update 2024: Die Speisen sind immer noch ok, jedoch hat sich der aus USA übergeschwappte Brauch, bei Kartenzahlung ein Trinkgeld auswählen zu müssen (Dark Pattern, kein Trinkgeld ist von der Grösse und von der Farbgebung her schwer zu entdecken) eingeschlichen - obwohl ich das Essen noch nicht mal probiert habe!

Liebe Leute von der Suppenküche, das Trinkgeld ist kein fixer Zuverdienst der Angestellten! Bezahlt eure Leute ordentlich und nötigt nicht mich, das für euch zu übernehmen.

Fazit 2024: Ich komme nicht mehr und bring das auch meinen Kolleginnen näher.
