PARLOR — Restaurant in Munich

FINALLY does Munich get a good burger place. Ever since moving here 5 years ago I’ve been desperately searching for a burger joint where they don’t use preprocessed buns or frozen patties, and where the final product is made honestly from scratch and with love.

Now the search is over. Here, an organic beef patty meets a delicious bun made especially for this place by Julius Brandtner bakery (whose pastries are to die for as well). And it’s a match made in heaven.

Service is excellent and responsive. The atmosphere indoors is on the hip side with good music always in the background.

The only thing I don’t get are the vegan options on the menu. I know, it’s 2024 and apparently it’s the new normal that you can’t escape the vegan propaganda even in a burger joint. ;-) Neither Vegan Caesar salad nor vegan coleslaw make sense to me.

Having a bit more diversified menu of meat-based burgers would be cherry on top (eg: include an egg, option for a double burger / extra patty, make more home-made sauces).

Everything seems correct, but it is difficult to judge the quality of the burger, because there is too much sauce and it is unpleasant. On the other hand, I regret that the delivery does not contain any sauce for the fries or even a hand towel to clean.

Here is an edition of my review since the owner asked me in the comments so I will respond here : Sorry, I thought it was obvious that the sauce on the side was an addition on my part to to go with the fries. Afterwards, if you sell the burger like that, it's because for you it's a reasonable amount of sauce. I add a second photo where you can see the sauce flowing from the burger which is for me much too liquid and messy. My personal opinion is probably not to your taste, but criticism can sometimes help to improve if it is...

Yesterday I reserved a table online, spontaneous yes - but it was still possible via quandoo. When we arrived the waiter snapped at us for reserving with this late notice. First they did not even want to give a table to us and ended up at an ok table. -- If you do not want same day reservations close your online system - should be an easy fix for this shop. Unfortunately also our burgers were grilled well done, although we wanted them medium. I've been to this restaurant 4 times so far. In 2 times the burger was perfectly medium, the other 2 times it was well done although requested medium. I guess it depends on the cook if you will have a great or...
