I recently had the pleasure of visiting the best specialty coffee shop in our city, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The coffee roast was simply outstanding, with a rich, bold flavor that delighted my taste buds. The baristas clearly take great pride in their craft and skillfully prepare each cup with precision.
But it's not just the coffee that stole the show; their cookies were heavenly. From the first bite, I was greeted with a delightful combination of crunchiness and melt-in-your-mouth goodness. They perfectly complemented the robust flavors of the coffee, creating a truly indulgent experience.
Additionally, I was impressed by the impeccable service I received. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about their offerings. They took the time to explain different coffee varieties and even offered personalized recommendations based on my preferences. It's refreshing to encounter such genuine warmth and care in a coffee shop.
Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this specialty coffee haven to all coffee enthusiasts. Whether you're seeking an exceptional coffee roast, delectable cookies, or top-notch service, this place has it all. Treat yourself to an unforgettable experience and savor the delightful concoctions served...
Read moreI’ve been a Suuapinga customer since their opening 2 years back. After the initial excitement (lighter roasts, tasty brew, friendly staff) it’s unfortunate that I have to give worse rating today.
The brew (at least the espresso we had in cappuccino and flat white today) was very italian- style (dark, dead, bitter). Not enjoyable at all. I can go around the corner to any random German coffee place to get an undrinkable cup of coffee and for half of price.
The fresh beans you buy for home are good.
The baked goods have deteriorated significantly ever since they lost their baker (and stopped baking the bread). Kardamom buns, cookies and the cinnamon rolls do not taste good, and actually feel like they are underbaked / raw.
The place has also became too popular, it’s often crowded and there is no nice space inside for sitting (unless you want to sit facing the back parts of people who wait in queue to order their coffee). You can’t really sit anywhere and have a chat during peak times.
Also, there is no complementary water available for customers. It is provided when asked though.
I was hoping Suuapinga would be an alternative to MvM (which is pretty far from Neuhausen). Unfortunately I still prefer to travel there over having...
Read moreDecent coffee, but for expats beware - it's not 'specialty'. Like every other German cafe, they have only oat milk or Lactose free. As an Australian, I think soy is the only way to have a Flat White (apart from Dairy, which I cannot drink). Unfortunately if I want better dairy alternatives I have to go across the road to Starbucks (oh dear).
Also, like every other German cafe, their baristas think a flat white is about having 2 shots of coffee (not the foam-free crema). This makes ordering a single shot flat white a bit frustrating. This is fine in a normal German cafe, but disappointing if you label yourself a 'specialty' cafe.
The coffee is fine, but not 'special'. They have some work to do before thet can claim this...
