Visited shokuji on a Friday for their all-you-can-eat lunch (€28 per person; dinner is €45pp) and it was such a great experience! We made a reservation beforehand, and everything ran smoothly.
The concept is really simple and convenient, each table gets a tablet to order from. Since we were two people, we could order up to 10 dishes at once, then there’s a short 10-minute break before placing the next round. Drinks can be ordered anytime (not included in the price).
The food was absolutely delicious! Everything came out beautifully presented and super fresh. The sushi and sashimi were top-notch, the dumplings were flavorful, and the grilled beef bites were perfectly cooked. The tempura prawns and onion rings were crispy and paired perfectly with the sweet chili sauce.
The ambience was lovely, cozy lighting, comfortable seating, and a stylish vibe that’s perfect for a date or a chill lunch with friends.
Overall, I was really impressed. Great food, quick service, and a fun concept. Definitely...
Read moreI was really excited to try this new restaurant since it’s the first all you can eat sushi that’s not a running sushi. I went on a weekday for lunch and was very positively impressed with the location. It’s quite big and nicely decorated. However, the sushi pieces we ordered were subpar in quality and taste, and came with a substantial amount of cream cheese. The rice to filling proportion of the rolls was a little too much for our taste. Nonetheless, the shrimp skewers and the beef we had were very tasty.
Service was attentive and generally correct, but not especially friendly. However, it was rather slow and we even got one dish after the check. Granted they recently opened so these things are to be expected. On the whole, I’m not persuaded given the price (€25 plus drink - weekday lunch), but it’s definitely nice to have this new option...
Read more39€/person for all you can eat (not including drinks) Likely one of the better sushi places I've tried. Very easy to place orders (You select on the Browser then confirm your basket and the food is served when ready). Very little rice and mostly meat/fish so you aren't getting full on rice. The taste is good.
My only complaint would be the lack of beef skewers and melted cheese beef skewers, as well as meet ball skewers you can usually find in other places. Also I couldn't find a beef onion stir fry that I usually find in many buffets in France.
Their desert options also seem a bit limited But they do have many dishes and likely some you won't find in other buffets. Buffets as in unlimited.
The infrastructure is clean, nice (as they opened not long ago), and the music mostly pop played not too loud.
Clearly...
