I had frequently passed by this restaurant (in Munich once a week for business) and it seemed like it was always busy, on the terrace and I didn't hear any English so I figured it was a local place to eat. I give 2 stars because the employees were very nice but my overall experience was a zero. First of all I was seated at a not too bad table outside, as I requested ,right in front of the dining room door. Unfortunately, the "ripe" smelling waiter had to pass in front of my table every time he came in and out of dining room. I've lived in Europe for 6 years so my "American" sense of smell is toned down some but still it was not very pleasant for me. Also, because I was sitting at the outside table next to the foliage that separated the patio from the sidewalk, I got to smell the smoke from customers who went there to have a cig. OK. That's ambiance. Right after my waiter sat me at the table he brought by a huge bottle of balsamic vinegar and olive oil. I'm familiar with this as it is really the Italian way for salad dressing. Unfortunately, my "mixed salad", full of fresh veggies and crisp greens was delivered already SWIMMING in oil! Yuck. My pizza arrived. Pepperoni. Waiter game me an English menu and I ordered "spicy" sausage. Meat on pizza was sort of grey. Not spicy. Dripping in oil. Tomato sauce was tasteless. Pizza crust not interesting at all. Customer sitting next to me (a local), agreed that my selection looked sad at best. He recommended adding the little chopped up chile pepper mix . It was also tasteless. I think they just keep adding oil and not really any peppers. (I'm not talking about the chile pepper flakes in oil that is common in Europe). I did not pay for the pizza. I paid for the salad. English was spoken when I arrived but nobody understood me when I complained. I was polite and well-mannered in my complaint. BTW. The dishes coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled yummy (when I wasn't getting a nose full of...
Read moreSo incredible rude staff! The food and service was in the besinning ok but nothing out of the ordinary. But when we wanted to pay, the waitor could not manage to make ANY of our 4 creditcards work in the payment machine and in one split second the waitor went from half nice to treating us as thieves not able to pay for our meal!!! Very uncomfortable ending of a half-descent Friday evening restaurant experience, visiting München. As an option we asked where the nearest cash-machine was and the waitor told us that he had NO IDEA!!! So we had to google the nearest bankomat and my husband went to get cash to pay for the dinner. The coming 15 minutes I was waiting at the table was the worst 15 min for many years (included being isolated during the pandemic) because the waitor was strotting back and forth meanwhile being not nice at all to me! When my husband returned with cash to pay (the cashmachine accepted our creditcard on the first try…) the waitor suddenly went back to being nice again!!! Such a fake person!!!
So if you are considering spending some of your precious time in this restaurant, our strong advice is to bring loads of cash since paying with creditcard seems to be a challenge for the staff in this restaurant and being treated as a thief will be part of your restaurant...
Read moreI've been here a few time and the food was quite good, only issue was the server that was not so friendly and even ask for a tip at the end. There was 9 of us n we gave a 10% tip despite his bad attitude and impatience. I will still come back for the food, but hope he change his attitude next time. We may be asians, but we are still customers. So don't give stupid excuses that you were busy and could not attend to us, when u were just setting other tables and looking busy when it wasnt even peak dining hrs. For a restaurant to be really welcoming, get your priorities right and take care of the...
