Senso Ristorante — Restaurant in Munich

After more than a week of German sausages and potatoes, I was ready for something different. Being very arrogant about the quality of italian food in Munich, I didn't have high expectations. THIS PLACE WAS GREAT!!! Because of my hesitancy, I kept it simple - spagetti carbonera. It was some of the best that I have had. I was with a party of 5 and 4 different dishes were ordered. All recieved high praises. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and the waiters were very attentive. They don't take credit cards. It's a first floor corner restaurant - no stairs (I have learned that handicapped can be a problem in Germany). Ich war vorgestern mit meinen beiden Söhnen dort zum ersten Mal essen, weil die Rezensionen durchweg sehr gut waren. Ich kann diese zu 100 % bestätigen. Könnte ich 6 Sterne vergeben, ich würde dies tun. Hier stimmt einfach alles! Meine positive Überraschung war überwältigend. Dass es in München noch solch ein Lokal gibt, ist kaum zu fassen! Der Wirt/Gastgeber/Geschäftsführer und die Dame waren höchst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Kleidung, Erscheinungsbild und Umgangsformen waren top! Sauber und sehr professionell. Auch die Bekleidung des Kochs, den ich kurz sah, war eine strahlend weiße Kochjacke. Die Einrichtung ist himmlisch: sehr geschmackvolle Sessel (sehr bequem), die Tische stehen nicht alle in Reih' und Glied à la Hühnerstange, wie es inzwiswchen bald in jedem Lokal in München üblich ist, um das Maximale herauszuholen. Wo dann allerdings keine Gespräche im Vertrauten geführt werden können, da der Nachbartisch ca. 5 cm daneben steht. Solche Lokale meide ich aus Prinzip. Hier aber, im Senso, ist das ganz anders. Es gibt Abstand und die Tische stehen in verschiedener Ausrichtung. Was für eine äußerst selten vorzufindende Bestuhlungsform. Sehr gut! Das Lokal ist darüber hinaus sehr gemütlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet (kein Kitsch) und sehr hell und freundlich. Die Musik war ein wenig zu laut für meinen Geschmack - aber noch erträglich. Obwohl wir nur einfach gegessen haben (Nudeln und Pizza), gab es für jeden von uns ein Amuse Gueule vorneweg. In einem hübschen Schälchen auf einer mit Serviette belegtem Tellerchen. Sehr ungewöhnlich heutzutage, lecker und wirklich toll. Die Gerichte waren durchweg alle sehr lecker, frisch, appetitlich und geschmackvoll. Die Preise sind mehr als fair und wir werden ganz sicher noch sehr oft hier her kommen. 100 %ige Empfehlung! Danke liebes Team von...

It's a really cosy place with beautiful vibes and atmosphere... You can feel the Italian vibes everywhere. Even the alcohol displayed there makes you feel you're in Italy.

We were 5 coworkers and we all had pizza with salad & a drink.

I went for the margherita pizza cause of course as much as it's basic, you can really know if this place is good or not from it.

The crust was very good, crispy around the edges, thin ad rich from inside, the toppings were just amazing. And it's also cheap for a pizza that big.

I would definitely recommend this place, it's worth the try. Won't be my last...
