Restaurant Mehmaan — Restaurant in Munich

We had high expectations but had a very mediocre dinner here. I ordered a Hugo and it was extremely sweet and warm, in a wine glass, (and seemingly completely weak), so I opted not to waste the calories on it and ordered prosecco after that. The Pakoras were unlike any I have ever seen: I'm no pro but I've had them dozens of places and these were just complete pieces of things (like a whole onion ring, slices of cheese etc) dipped in a batter and fried: not grated. Is this a Pakora? I was more like tempura with just a batter. The raita was so salty I avoided it. Likewise the Tandoori, we ordered it so it would be lighter than a saucy main, but it had a lot of grease and salt. The bread stuffed with onions: also too salty. I'm not sensitive to salt but this was over the top. The best part of the meal was something we didn't order, the naan that came with the tandoori vegetables. They show prices excluding VAT on their menu (Mehrwertsteuer), which is just unethical and misleading.

On the lunch menu the price was €9.5, on the invoice it works out to 11.30...

First of all, i have to say that this restaurant is something special. I went in with no expectations and went out happier than ever. The interior looks very nice and the music is calming, the staff is very nice and funny. The food may look small for its price but fot me it was the perfect portion, it was just enough that my stomach feels full but not too full, normally i have left overs when I go to an indian restaurant but this one was perfect. The Naan was perfect, I never ate a Naan this good in my entire life. I had the chicken tikka masalla and it also tasted great, they serve rice to every main dish you order. I would totally reccommend this restaurant and would come more often if i wouldnt life...
